dweebster i prefer pioneer premiers because they have double highs and sounds real crisp

Brewski i have kenwoods. they're cheap, but sound really good for the money. if price is not a factor get mb quart components, if it is, the kenwoods work just fine. i also heard the kappas are a real nice speaker... just my 2 cents

4X4RDSTR Polk db521 for the bar and 461p for the front. Plus Crutchfield is offering buy one pair of Polks and get the second set for 1/2 price. I am quite pleased with these speakers paired with my Kenwood DVD Stereo Garmin Navigation head.

Jrzymilitia I have Alpine type R componets in the bar. They sound the best because Of the highs and lows in them come krystal clear. You should really look into putting componets because my problem was...Top down= lots of wind and cant hear the music lol...So get some good 6.5 componets for up top Kappa's Type R's even Type S just stay away from crappy paper film. Kappa has kind of a steel mesh on theres so they dont blow as easy

Kenwood Speakers

Looking to finally upgrade the speaking in my TJ... The ones the sound bar are starting to distort and buzz, so I'm in the market. Was looking at Crutchfield and in particular, Kenwood 6.5's. Anyone running them? Not looking to spend a whole lot on two speakers, like $70 max.

Also, 3-way or 2-way? I'm just going to be using my headunit(Pioneer DEH-4000UB) to power them.

The dash speakers will be replaced at a later time as they are sounding fine, but will be replaced with some 5.25" speakers.
