|Jerry Bransford||It'll be 4.10/4.11 for the front and rear axles as that's what came with the 2.5L/5-speed combination. By the way, 3.73 was never used in the '97 that only had 3.07, 3.55, and 4.10 as options.|

|mrbigjeep||check the metal tag...it should be the first number on the top right of the tag and then a space and then two numbers below it and thats your gear ratio...its the simplest way to do it...takes less than 30 seconds|

|khenderson||5spd or auto? it'll either be 3.73 or 4.10. there's a little metal tag on your rear diff that'll have the ratio on it.|

97 stock gears?
I have a 97 wrangler bone stock with 4 cyl-which gears are in it? 3.55 or 3.73 or something else? I don't know.
