TJ Exhaust

I'm thinking of replacing my entire exhaust (Headers, Y- Pipes with the 2 cats, and the cat back portion) with Magnaflow; I noticed earlier the the TJ has 3 Cats, so I'm thinking of just getting rid of the one that's located in front of the muffler. So far I don't see a problem with it because the O2 sensors are located after the y-pipe cats, so no engine code will go off, I'm also thinking I'll get better gas millage with out the extra bulky cat. I live in Texas so there's no super strict emission laws. I just wanted to get other peoples input on the idea.
