DirtyRob I was running 33's with a 3" body lift for a few months, then I installed the 2.5" Zone. I couldn't be happier with the results. Very good ride and flexy of-road. I like it much better than the other lifts I have had in the past. Thay also make a 4", but I already had my body lift

jeff_in_rc With the 31's that are on my stock YJ I rub the fender flares all the time and have been told, and read here, that I need to go with at least a 2 1/2 inch lift. I will in the future but it's not in the budget yet.

You might considure running 31's and a 2 1/2" lift but the final decision is all yours.

cracked in order to do a 4" shackle lift you would need 12" long shackles...definitely not good for stability/control/safety

do yourself a big favor and stick with moderate lift springs and 1" body lifts

personally, I did a 3 1/2" Fabtech with no body lift yet...but lately I'm thinking I might have been better served with 4 flexy OME 36r's, for an advertised 2 1/2" spring lift (people say it's more like 3"-3 1/4") and a 1 inch body lift, so I can do a motor lift/tummy tuck at a later date...of course I actually take mine off road, so you may be perfectly fine with just the springs

of course runnin' 33's may bring a need for a gear swap, as well as the need for the added clearance

Do I NEED a suspension lift?

I want to lift my YJ….I don't do any kind of intense off roading, mostly puddles but not too much crawling of any kind. I'm looking for some clearance so a body lift isn't going to do it for me, and I need to get some better shoes on her. I want to Run 33" tires. I was thinking about going with a shackle lift. I want a 4"…do they even make one? and has anyone had problems with just a shackle? does in impair the little travel I already have?
any help would be great.
