Raif The only way I KNOW is still open is the road that runs along the lot where there is some machinery stored. I have a feeling that the trail that runs up the hill, and along the fence that branches off of Stucky (I think?) Is still open as well.

clarkkent There are so many little roads up hill 57, just look at the aerial view on google maps. What did they block off?
12-31-2012 12:33 AM
Raif I found a way in. And when we first discovered it a guy in a big white Ford was there sledding with his kid. Bummer, but not a total loss. There is always the mud pits at eagles crossing, but I am not sure how kosher it is to be there.
12-31-2012 12:17 AM
BigMT Yah not to happy about that! I guess the owners finally got fed-up with people tearing up the roads and dumping garbage all over. It was a great sledding hill for the kids to. Oh well, guess we have to find a new place to throw some mud around... suggestions anyone?
12-25-2012 01:09 AM
Raif Looks like hill 57 is blocked off now!

Raif Yeah, we went out to the eagles crossing trails and played in the mud holes. It was a blast!
07-25-2012 12:20 PM
tjyj Looks pretty fun! Did you ever go anywhere besides hill 57?

Raif I am heading over early tomorrow after we get my cousins hummer aligned. I will be there most of the day I think.

Raif At 57 now watching the storm. Cute little mud hole here! As of 11pm friday
07-20-2012 05:10 PM
tjyj Haha I was watching the fireworks from the Black Eagle Community Center and saw that fire on hill 57 start. So I watched the fire for a while. Looked big from where I was.

I agree with ya Raif! Stock LJ's are a little...odd. A little beefing up, and BAM whole different deal!
I will keep my eyes and ears open for ya on Hill 57. I only live 1...ish block from it, so if I hear anything I will head out there.
The fire barely did anything. Funny thing is that I was right there when it started... in my Jeep! A couple dinks were lighting off mortars and a tube tipped over that's all it took. I tried to help but it was beyond help by the time I got out of the Jeep. So I got the heck out of there!

Thanks! I was really uncertain about getting an LJ at first to. Now that I have one I love the extra room for family trips/camping. I've only had her since the beginning of March. My first jeep, and loving every minute!

tjyj I might be pretty busy this weekend. But if I get some free time maybe I'll come check stuff out. I don't have the best tires for mudding, nothing a tow rope can't fix though.

There are some no trespassing signs we stay away from though.
If you head down this weekend let me know for sure

BigMT I got the ladies number from one of the "NO TRESPASSING" signs. A while ago I called to ask permission to use her road to get to the back side of Hill 57 and she wasn't very friendly. It kind of sucks because I only live 2 blocks away from the hill.
07-09-2012 11:45 PM
Raif Do you know who owns it by chance?

tjyj I never knew or if Hill 57 was "private property" or not. I almost strolled up there the other day.

My bro and I just went up to Logging Creek area and Monarch Yesterday. Pretty much just dirt roads but a few trails you can play in. Fun though.
