Kentuckytj What I found on several reviews was......just because it is a nitro or gas shock doesn't make them the same. I think the RC nitro shocks have given them a bad name for being overly stiff. I found one review where a guy on a jeep Cherokee installed them. He compared them both zone and RC, and said the zone was different. He stated the Zone Nitro wasn't near as stiff. He felt it was easy to compress and the ride was nice. I have the nitros waiting to be installed, but I got them as a free upgrade. Otherwise I would have just went hydro. I am 99% road and 1% dirt rd.

They are valved specifically for the TJ so what you heard are wrong. They are pretty stiff however but on they trail you'll be happy.

Yes, the white are the hydros. I thought I would save some $$ and skip the gas shocks, but I guess I got used to the feel of gas shocks since that was what was on it.

Don't get me wrong, they aren't bad. Lots of folk like them and they work fine, but for me I am looking forward to the day I can take them off.

90% of what I drive is highway too if that makes any difference.

TJspeed From what I've read on here the nitros aren't set up for the TJ's light weight and they ride to stiff.

eugenesonrisa I have the non-nitro. Nice soft ride couldn't tell you bout the nitro's. The stabilizer is only a color option so it'll match the rest.

Zone nitro vs. zone basic

I'm pretty much set on the zone combo lift. Now just don't know If I want to upgrade to the nitro's.. I heard that the nitro's are actually not as good and ride a little stiff?.. Anyone have experience with these? also going to be getting a stabilizer, and again don't know of I should go with nitro or regular.. Thanks in advance!
