I still got a few more minor things to due to it like getting my drivesafts put back and fixing the exhaust. But over all it been one hell of good time working on this project. I don't know why everbody saids it cost alot of money to do i4 to i6 swap all together I want have maybe $500 in the whole dam swap

firedog327 Well everything is going slow right now I've started cutting off the motor mount supports so they can be moved. As soon as I can buy a welder I can weld them back to mount my 4.0. Here are some more pic I took today so everyone can see how slow my progress is. Hope you enjoy them.

firedog327 Everthing seems to be going fairly smooth right now. The old engine is out,the wiring harness change out pretty good. Now all I need to get is new motor mounts since the old ones were trashed and can't be reused. All the U-joints needs to be replaced as well. Thats what you get when you undertake a project thats 20years old.

JeepAddOns-Chris Best of luck. Swaps are always a massive undertaking!

firedog327 Well pulled the old 4 banger out yesterday, today changed out the wiring harness. I still got a lot to do just wish I'd waited for cooler weather to done all this work, temps in the high 90's and 100's. But wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

over my head

Well guys just started my I 4 to I 6 swap I'll try to upload pic as I go. I've got engine, Trans, transfer case, and wiring harness in one complete unit so I hope everything goes as smooth as possible. I know it probably want. Anyway I started by taking off the 300lbs bumper that the PO made and installed had to beat it off with sledge hammers. Then removed the radiator and shroud.now in the progress of unhooking the wiring. Its hard enuogh messing with all efi ecm wiring cause I'm used to maybe half dozen wires in older models this is going to be a new experience for me.
