|Williard86||I used shrink wrap to stop the pins from rattling. It worked ok. Might try plastidip.|

This thing is cool. It's going on my "Jeep list."
I can see us getting a lot of use out of it at the beach.

Pictures can't demonstrate how cool this thing is. A bit heavy, but worth it.
The guy is super fast ordered this sat night, on my doorstep on we'd afternoon!

|cheap4tw||Has anyone considered trying to modify the side panels slightly? It looks like if you were to add a bend near where it mounts that the soft top rails would fit nicely into the jeep tub again when the tops down.|

|JeeperJake||I picked up some knap sacks at a surplus store. Haven't gotten fancy with a Molle install like shown here, but mine do mount out of the way on the rear tire 'shelves' and lashed to the roll bar.|

|Smitty14||Any idea where to get some good quality MOLLE bags for these without breaking the bank? Thought about getting the smittybuilt just for the bags.|

|Aussie Jeepster||I love mine - put it on 2 weeks ago. I'm still sorting out the molle gear to go with it. I also had a Smittybilt cover which will be on the market soon.|

Just placed and order.
Can't wait to add this to the JK.
And the guy was super cool with personalizing it too. Corny I know, but I got my name on it.

|thenorsepole||Well I went looking this weekend for polymer pins or something to remove the rattle. As it turns out I ended up putting about 4 thin coats of Plasti.dip on the metal pins and wallah!!! Rattle problem solved.|

|Metonymy||What are the rails made of? Yes, call me anal, but I don't want to scratch up the paint on the gate door.|

|Metonymy||Is there anything that goes between the metal of the molle/tray and the door itself to keep from scarring the paint on the gate?|

|NFRs2000NYC||I have the same rear table. I was thinking about coating the pins in something rubbery (like silicone) to keep the metal on metal contact to a minimum. Will try it out and report back.|

The sides, I think, could be mounted once the hardtop is in place.

|Batjeep09||Do these only rattle from the top pins or from the bottom as well. Also, does it appear the sides would interfere with the hard top?|

Glad to see you got them put in. Thanks for the photos.
Does he offer a "rear door only" option? I don't want the side panels.
How do you think you'll quieten down the pin rattle? Any thoughts yet?

New MOLLE panels (rear & sides)
OK so it took me awhile to post this so apologies to those who've shown some interest in these.
I had a Smittybuilt for the rear door and it was OK, but the black has begun to fade to a darkish pinkish hue which I consider to be bordering on the unmanly (you'll see them in the pics below), this simply will not do. Besides everyone seems to have one and I wanted something different. Lo and behold I found these...
jk gear MOLLE panels for rear storage w/fold down tailgate (package deal) | eBay
I went with the full package which includes the rear panel, 2 for the sides and one panel that hangs off the rear seat. I felt I needed to be thorough for my fellow Jeepers (you're welcome).
AlanJK427 was very easy to work with. After the purchase he emailed me to inquire as to what logo I wanted. The ebay pic shows "Rescue", I requested "USMC". He said this was no problem and it didn't hold up shipment at all.
They arrived nicely packaged (I needed my K-Bar to get into the shrink-wrap) with all of the screws, washers, instructions etc required.
Installation was easy enough for the rear panel and sides and everything went together as they were designed to. As you'll see in the pics, of the two bars that attached to the cargo door, one is notched out for the plastic piece that runs horizontally across the door.
In any case I am happy with the fit and finish and I feel it looks much better, and certainly different, than the Smittys.
Negatives - I only have a couple of issues that should be addressed.
1) The side MOLLE panels are a good idea, but they fail when it comes to dropping the top. The bows typically drop to within the tub, but the panels interupt this and the bows land on top off the metal piece that connects them to the tub (refer to the pics).
2) The cargo panel is noisy. Metal pins run through each side to hold the "table" up. These rattle a good bit and I'll devise some creative way to address this.
All in all I like these add-ons. As I say, they're different, and I can use the fold down table for multiple reasons so that's handy. MOLLE pouches thread through them OK, though the openings are only slightly off kilter. The side MOLLE panels work fine for attaching small pouches such as the IFAK that I like to have in the Jeep at all times. Previously I had it attached to MOLLE panels on the tube doors, but would not have it if running doorless.
