steve66 It should have the 3.8 for that year, as for regear, never did it before, but from what i have heard, the parts are not that expensive, but the labor to do it is.

What should it have?

Also how hard is it to regear? Would it be worth it in the long run?

But my questions are, anyone know if this jeep comes stock with the right frame for towing? I would really like to add a towing pkg to it, and the engine seems big enough, but I am not too sure. Secondly, anyone know the standard gear ratio for it? If I were to get it, I would really like a lift with bigger tires, but don't know if it will hold up very well especially when towing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can't help you with the towing q...though towing has to do with the gearing more than anything, I believe (I don't tow, so maybe I don't know).

Don't know if it has a towing pkg; you'd have to ask the seller.

As for the gearing, it has either 3.21 (terrible) or 3.73 gears (bad), unless the PO has regeared, which probably would've been mentioned. Depending on which gear ratio it has, 33" tires will take some off the top gear, 35" tires will turn it into a dog.
