thedaringmove So I decided it was too much work to get out the jack. I did some research. my wheels are 15x8 with -20mm offset. Anyone know what that calculates to for backspacing? Thanks a bunch

thedaringmove Will do when I get home. Today's a cliff jumping kind of day.

XJ Knight To check your BS

Report back when you got it. If it's between 3.75-4.25 you won't need wheel spacers

XJ Knight I'm choosing to "Shun".. Anything over a 1.25in BL is a no no. Sorry just the way it is.

Don't order the wheel spacers till you check on the wheels back spacing. You might not need the spacers at all.

thedaringmove I actually didn't bring the jeep to the shop so they never saw them. Thanks for the reply about the spacers. Ordered a 2" body lift an hour ago (I know don't shun me) and will get a 2" suspension lift before worrying about the new tires

XJ Knight Jeep 1.25" Thick Wheel Spacers should work fine. They also offer them in 1.5in but I don't think you'll need to go that far out.

What did they tell you about those wheels? I know I've seen them before but I can't recall what wheels they are and so far in a limited search haven't found them

thedaringmove So I just went to a 4x4 shop. they say I can use my original wheels but need to get wheel spacers. Anyone have any idea what size ill need to get?

carver9 If you plan on front differential id go with a 4" lift and 33s. Thats what i have on mine and its perfect fit

thedaringmove Thanks a bunch. I am planning on lifting the jeep so fitting the 33s should not be a problem. Here's a side shot
07-27-2012 01:14 AM
XJ Knight Do you have a side shot of your TJ so we can try to figure out what wheels you have?
07-27-2012 01:12 AM
XJ Knight Your wheels are 15's.. As you said in your tire size. The ones in your Jeep profile pic are not stock TJ wheels. Since im not sure what wheels those are in your picture I can't tell you if what you got is 15x7's or 15x8's and what the back spacing is on them. You can't fit 33's reasonably unless you have 2.5in of lift and more if you want room for flex for offroading. On a stock TJ suspension, running 30x9.5/15 or 31x10.5/15 is what you ideally want to do. Either of those sizes will work for you. If your wheels are 15x8's then go with the the 31x10.5's as it will alow you to air down a bit when offroading.

What size tires okay?

So right now I checked and my wheels/tires are 205/75 15. I'm wondering what size that means my wheels are... and if there's any way to put 33' tires on those stock wheels. Probably a dumb question I know
