Bruzr Random question but did I park next to you at Target in Edina today?

Bruzr Ya we have had two wrench parties in Rochester and a MG at Buffalo Wild Wings.
I recommend introducing yourself under "checkin" and "MN ramble on" both under the MN section on this board.

Most of us are also on the Jk specific JK-Forum and we have "ramble on thread" under the great lakes section.
I'm Beantownblue over there.

I converted over to the WF for more info and to grow my jk network.

So.. Had the Guys at Richfield best buy install the sub and speakers. and I must say WOAH.. that really gave it some life. I had the infinity bass link installed (Crutchfield 200$) and four Polk dx650 (75$ a set BestBuy) and DynoMat and Poly Filled the tube. I am pretty impressed with the set up for under 900 bucks.
Only disadvantage of course was loosing half my *trunk* to the sub but its well worth it to hear the music with the top down roaring down the highway. Now i need to get ballsy and take the doors off and relocate the mirrors since i KNOW i will get pulled over for it

Here is some good reading. Lets Solve the Stock Springs Question

As for the speakers, check Saturdays ad when it comes out.
My polks are plug & play. The sound bar couldn't be easier. The dash you will have to search for a how to.

I wrote kicker in the previous thread but meant Polk
I will keep that in mind. For me right now since I have had it under a week, I am going to put the sahara rims on that I bought from a guy IN Rochester.. And Ate at John Hardys Post Then the speakers, the possible head unit, THEN Rampage Tubular Front and Rear Bumper, THEN Tinted Rear Soft and front glass Windows... THEN try to be happy until Spring for beefier Tires on the 18's (Yes i know spendy but think I may just do the 275/65/18 route on bfg all terrains) then possibly a lift. I think thats a good $tart.

I will go check out the Polk option. I saw the sound bar looked super easy the dash one just looked to have a lot of screws, so May wait till the weathers cooler or just suck it up and have best buy throw em in.

Thanks for your guidance so far though. I really appreciate it while I am learning about the Wrangler. I keep trying to remember to wave at other jeep members. People wave at me in mine and I am like.. "do i know you?" Guess we didn't have that secret society in my Xterra and my current TL

Say, Do you know if There is a wheel cover for the Sahara rims on the back? I won't tell you which cover i want, but curious if it would fit.

As for the lift if your interested, I have a set if rubi shocks and spring from a 2011 JK unlimited that had the hard top and tow package. If you do some searching around look up 18/59 JK springs. You will hear from a ton of guys with 2 doors netting 2" of lift from the swap.

Again welcome.

Hello Adam,
Thanks for the input. It goes in tomorrow for the detail and to put on the sahara rims AND Swap over the TPMS from my steel rims. Ugh. What do the rubi shocks/springs run? how much does it change my ride? Any idea of how much it would cost to install? I am ok with installing stuff like bumpers and some speakers but not hardcore suspension or electrical.

I saw the Kicker option at BestBuy. Any idea of they do a good job of putting them in? I saw quadra tec had a plug n play kicker option for 90 x2 so 200 bucks isn't too bad for a new set of speakers.. What about this head unit.. Uggggghhh So spoiled from my TL's system

Ello!

Hey guys, new to the forum (also new to owning a domestic) So bare with me.

Just picked up a 2dr soft top jeep wrangler sport in black. Also snagged some sahara rims and tires *yes i know the tires are spendy* but found out the TPMS are not in there. I have my stock steel rims that I will be pulling off to put the five sahara rims on. Anyone know what it takes.costs to pull my TPMS and put into the new rims? Buddy of mine said that Discount tire sometimes will deal with you on buying the brand new stock tires? Love the jeep so far and will love it even more once I figure out the soft top with ease Current list of wants are... The tires on New front and rear bumper I am thinking the Rampage style off Quadra Tec, Maybe a 2 inch lift, Tinted rear soft panel windows and then front tint and then the light guards.

What I really want FIRST though is to upgrade the speakers ;( I am a little spoiled as my other car is an Acura TL aspec with the ELS system. Can you guys direct me to a decent sounding plug n play speaker set up? I really wanted to get the infinity option, but couldn't locate one in a bone stock Jeep like I wanted. If I was going to go jeep i wanted no power windows, no power locks and a softy...

Thanks for being patient with me. And hope to meet up with you guys for advice along the way!
