Life is getting in the way of wheeling again for me. We had a hose clamp break on our water heater so now won't be able to go play this weekend. Crap!
Have fun out there for whoever is going.

Good job Bardo! They look real good.
As far as Bridgeport this weekend it's my 14th wedding anniversary. The 22nd is the soonest.

So, I went ahead and installed some 2" pucks...not sure what I think, yet. I thought it would be more noticeable lift...But what IS noticeable is my new black wheels! Plastidipped 'em from their former gunmetal grey to awesome flat black. LOVE the new look! Now, we'll just have to see how well they hold up.

Bridgeport TX 11/15/14
Thinking of hitting Bridgeport Saturday 11/15. Figure to be there around 10 and hit the trails until around 3 or so.
Anyone interesting in going?

[QUOTE="TheYetiGrowZup;14641682"]Just been living life and dealing with the little issues and curve balls it tends to throw your way. My daily driver, a '95 Dodge Ram 1500, is showing its age. I need to take it in to have the heater core replaced. I'd do it myself but I don't want to mess with the A/C lines.
So we need to get s outing going for Bridgeport. Need to get an OHV sticker and apparently they're hard to come by.[/QUO Collin bros in wylie sells ohv sticker and Bridgeport doesnt enforce ohv stickers btw

Let's plan for Bridgeport in three weeks. November 22nd. I know it's the weekend leading into Thanksgiving week, but I guess for those of us sticking around...
It could give us something to do. Let me know.

|HOOCBB||Anyone know where I can get the Velcro replaced on my soft windows? I can get another 2 years out of these easy as long as the repair doesn't cost too much.|

|BardoFett||Thanks for your input, guys. I think I'm gonna head up to Collins Bros Jeep this weekend to check them out...maybe see if I can pick up a used bumper. I'll ask about lifts while I'm there...|

Does a greater lift height (3"+) require additional support, i.e. longer shocks, taller springs, etc.?

I had an 05 LJ for several years. Just sold it and bought a JKU. Sure wish I hadn't, but that's another story. I had a 3.5" Rubicon Express super flex lift, and I absolutely loved it. Articulation for days, and once I replaced the shocks with bilsteins the on road ride was great!
I'm not sure I would go that route now because rubicon express was bought out by 4wheel parts, which means they will likely replace some of the more expensive parts with Chinese stuff. When I dump my JKU and pick up another LJ I will put the metalcloak game changer lift on it, with 6 pack shocks. The shocks can be used for prerunning, which means they will soak up the bumps. The CAs have a special joint (I forget the name) that provides a ton of flex, and still maintains stock CA angles.
NEway....that's my choice. Whatever you decide to do, I hope it brings you years of wheeling fun!!!
