|Tnewcomb||I'm also in CT and got the Goodyear SilentArmour in the stock size on the stock rims. Did not want to go any bigger but like the look of the SilentArmour and can hardly wait to try in the snow. The place I work has never cancelled work because of weather, however they did let everyone go home when Hurricane Gloria hit years ago.|

i like the dedham area.
im up on the new hampshire border, winchendon. we got 35" of snow from that october storm last year, then hardly got 1' all together for the rest of the year.

|N3M0||get yourself a good snatch strap (kinetic) as well. that way you can pull all your dork co workers out of their spots when the grounds crew at your dorky office plows all their dorky corollas in|

Your rig looks great as a cool/tough offroading machine. I'm married and work in a dorky office, and no longer have any desire to be cool/tough
I won't be ordering for a while, but maybe I'll dig up this thread in the winter time and post some pics of the 31s. Thanks again!

|N3M0||post some pics up when you get em!|
|07-31-2012 12:24 PM|
|N3M0||if you check my profile, i have a few pics of the mb TKOs (same dimensions as teh mb72s) with my 33x12/5 duratracs. PEER PRESSURE, im trying to persuade you to the 33s HAHAHA. but honestly, you can see what they look like on a JKU they arent that big|

|N3M0||yea, the wheel's are 8" wide you can still get the mb72s and the smaller tires|
|07-31-2012 12:21 PM|
|N3M0||i had 7 people in my jku (give me some slack they were under the influence and i was driving them back to our hotel) and my tires didnt rub, even though i was riding quite low in the back|
|07-31-2012 12:21 PM|
The question was whether I should get the same width wheel if I order 31s. Thanks!
|07-31-2012 12:19 PM|
|N3M0||dear sir, they will fit completely fine without needed a leveling kit or spacers or anything of the sort|

"The Combo" Duratracs & MB 72s
Like many of you, I love the look of "the combo" on JKs- 33x12.5x15 Duratracs with a 15x8 MB 72 wheel in black. However, I would like to run smaller tires (don't throw rocks at me please ) because I don't want to lift or even add a leveling kit, and I'm mostly interested in the duratracs for their snow capability. Of course I also like them for their looks, but I'm not going for the super-beef look as much as deep snow/general winter on-road performance.
That said, I love the wide stance offered (without spacers!) by the MB 72 wheels, and like the way they look too.
So my question is whether anyone runs the 31x10.5x15 Duratracs with MB 72 rims. If so, what width should the rim be? Still 8 inchers? 7?
