DANIMAL I do not have any pics of it painted or installed, but I am sure you will get the idea here. The left side of the pic is the front of the skid. I made it out of 7ga. plate. This is also the thickness I will be making my engine skid.

Home made JK skid plates

Has anyone made their own skid plates for their JK? I made a skid for my evap canister and now want to make one to protect the bottom of my motor. Does anyone have any designs, dimensions, ideas for doing this? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

As soon as it gets a little warmer, I will be crawling under my Jeep to get some measurements and some ideas. I want to have something in place before Memorial Day weekend. I do not have a lift yet, so I want to do what I can to protect my Jeep's underbelly. I know that I can make one for a lot less than what I have seen it is just a matter of getting it done.
