That's probably a decent price for a 4.0L Sport with hard top and doors. If that's what they're asking though, they would probably take less, looks like it could use tires, I'd try to get them to knock $1000 off for that.

Justintxz i bought my 04" pretty much identical to that one with same mileage only difference is that it was a stick for 9k. i would HIGHLY advise against the 4 banger i would do anything for the 4.0.

wrangler3411 I have a 4banger manual with 33's on it. I am looking for a unlimited ruby right now. If you want to go faster than 60 with a tail wind get a 6cyl. If you are going to upgrade your tires than the 4cyl is not enough. Especially an automatic. What gears are in it?

BamaRolln Too high. Mine is a year newer, 30k LESS miles than that one, 6cyl auto, new 32 inch tires and in excellent shape in and out and I got it for within your budget from a private party.

This is the second jeep I've purchased off craigslist. You will go through a lot of jeeps described as "excellent" but when you get there they look like crap. But eventually you can find a good one.

I test drove a 4cyl auto and decided I wanted a 6 cyl but that is up to you.

Barrie I have a 06 LJ. Hint, Hint. Check my Jeep profile.

Cons_Table If you are going to spend the money, get a 6 cylinder.

I realize the one you are looking at is a little newer than mine...but mine was a 1999 TJ, 4.0L 6 cylinder, with 80k, and it was 10,500 from a dealer.

daddis01 I would say that is high as well. You might do some research and find out for sure what you really want, it will help you make your search more focused. I bought a 2006 Wrangler X for 15,400 last year. If I had to do it over again I would have searched longer and bought a Rubicon or an Unlimited (or a Rubicon Unlimited ;-) ). That's hindsight...which is why I'm sharing that with you. Best of luck by the way, Jeeping is so much fun!

My budget is around 10k to 15k.
You will get the most out your money if you buy from a private party. Dealers #$%& you! And that pricetag is a prime example.

Serge A. Storms Seems kind of pricey for a plain jane 4 banger.

Opinions on potential buy.

I'm in the market for a new car. I want to go with a wrangler. My budget is around 10k to 15k.
Found one for 13k, '04, 80,000 miles, 4 cylinder, auto. What do you guys think?
