|JeepPilot10||Lube the studs and torque down to 90. Drive it for a while and recheck the torque. It shouldn't have changed.|

Hand tighten, make sure tires are completely seated, snug with wrench in star pattern, lower jeep, tighten in star pattern until no more movement, then one more go around tightening no more then a 1/16 to 1/8 turn...that's what I do when I put wheels on any vehicle.
You can lube the stud also (I am still talking about tires).

My boss had a term he called 'Spot Torquing'; where you torque until you see spots.
In my experience: hand tighten, lower the jeep back to the ground, tighten in a star pattern until no more movement then one final circular pass just for peace of mind.
Never use an impact gun as you *may* snap the bolt. I'm betting you won't want that. All you really need is about 100ft/lbs give or take. No need to go crazy.

Newb question - What is the proper way to tighten wheels on a Jeep?
I just ordered a new set of wheels/tires from Discount tire and they will be in next week. I thought I would install myself. What is the proper way to install/torque a set of wheels. They are lug centric - Duratrac 285/70/17's on Level 8 ZX's with Gorilla black chrome spline lugs. Do you torque with the wheels off the ground or hand tighten and then torque on the ground? Does it really matter at all?
What torque on the 2012 Rubicon? Would you use impact wrench?
Thanks for the help? I know pretty basic questions!
