|Wtrdog||i just got a JKU from Chantilly, 3rd vehicle I've gotten and service and sales have both been great. the leesburg place needs to just close, they are a bunch a$$hats. both my buddy and me went their first to look and bought in Chantilly.|

|10Anvil||Screw service. Go where you get the best price on the exact model/trim that you want. After you get the best price take it to the dealer of your choice for warranty work and then start worrying about service.|

Interesting comments here.
I have been trying to work out an internet deal with just about all of these dealers -for a Rubi 10th.
Fair Oaks called me at 3am-even though I told them to contact me via email.
Koons, which is who I really wanted to deal with has been treating me like an idiot. Eventually stopped emailing me when I said that we were only 1500 apart.
Farrish also stopped emailing me when I wanted to negotiate on the price.
I feel all have been completely lacking in customer service and values. Also the lack of professionalism in not responding to my emails is completely uncalled for. I would have even appreciated an email stating that they were not going to negotiate and that the quoted price was final. I hate this and may just go used car shopping from a private party-what they have done is completely turn me off from their stealerships.

I didn't buy my 2013 from them, but would have if they had one configured the way that I wanted. Same goes for Koons, Farrish, Fair Oaks, etc.
Yeah, the Dulles sales manager is a bit lacking on personality, but I'm not sure that I would rule them out if they could give me a decent price. He isn't the service manger...and besides, you can get service anywhere.
BTW, I posted my most recent (positive) experience there in this: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/jee...ml#post2812185
Also BTW, while my experience at Safford Fredrickburg was decent (as noted on the previous page), I did feel like we were rushed out the door with the sale. Granted, it was Labor Day, but there was no real tour of the vehicle nor did they ensure that everything was in it.
It wasn't until I got home that I realized that they forgot to put the lug key lock in it...as well as the five factory lugs. I contacted them and they kept saying they had to be in the vehicle...right up until they emailed me back and told me that they found them at the dealership.
I then asked them to FedEx them since I live 60-70 miles away...but they sent them standard mail instead, which bugged me a bit...especially on a 35K vehicle purchase.
Still though, I got the JKR that I wanted for a decent price and they seemed like decent folks, so sometimes it's not worth getting worked up over the little things.

I don't wanna sound over-dramatic but honestly, I've never been treated that poorly by ANY place of business where I was a potential buyer. I've worked in sales jobs before and the FIRST thing I learned was NEVER to judge someone by his/her appearance.

I got my '12 JKUR from Farrish. By far they had the best price, and were quick and easy to deal with. I have no idea about how their service dept. is. I know it is tiny, so that made me a bit nervous.
I checked out the service dept. at Fair Oaks, as I work across the street from there. The Service Manager there seemed knowledgeable about jeeps. I suspect that is where I will take it should it need to go back to a dealer. Any non-dealer mandated work will be done by High Tech Automotive and Truck in Chantilly. These guys know jeeps.
I would STRONGLY advise against Koon's Tysons for service. I went through a 3 year nightmare with them on my Town and Country warranty work. A bum transmission that was never right, and every time was a fight with them. At one point I had the service manager actually tell me 'Maybe you should have bought a different car'. Of course, YMMV, but I shudder just driving by.

There's a dealer in Leesburg, VA. Not sure what they're called, but I would never visit them again. The first time I visited, I hadn't even been in the showroom for 30 seconds and had already been insulted by the sales manager and one of his bozos; no exaggeration. They apparently had a problem with me walking in wearing sweat pants and a sweat shirt, nevermind I'd just been out for a walk/run prior to visiting.
I walked in and the sales manager calls one of his cronies over and says, "Show this fellow what we can not sell him today." The crony looks me up and down with this cross-eyed look on his face, and says, "Oooookay, what can I NOT sell you today?" I rolled my eyes and told him, "You aren't selling me ANYTHING today with that attitude, and let's talk about an order." The conversation declined from there and I finally told him I was sick of his condescending attitude and I'd be returning to show him my new Jeep.
...About a month later I sent his sales manager a pic of me and my new Jeep with an attached message, "This is the Jeep you could NOT sell me." No return response from him.
Anyway, if you don't mind a longer drive, I bought up the street from where I live at Miller Dodge Chrysler in Martinsburg, WV. I haven't had a problem there and they've been easy to deal with. Did I get the best deal? Probably not, but that was my fault.

I just wanted to close the loop. I bit the bullet and drove to Safford in Fredericksburg today (60 miles) to pick up my 2013 JKR.
They had the model with the options that I wanted...and dealing with Ben Clarke via email was painless. We exchanged about half a dozen email messages discussing price, my trade, fees, etc...and he was very responsive and very straightforward. No games at all.
He started at close to 3% under invoice. Even with their dealer processing fee, I came out well under the Trade Lightly Affiliate pricing. He also helped me get a fair price on my trade. I researched the value through many sources in advance, including Edmunds, NADA, KBB, and looking at private party sales, and their price was higher than the mid-range of the trade value based on condition and mileage.
Given that I didn't finance or buy any dealer options (e.g., rust proofing, service plans), their profit was limited...yet EVERYONE at the dealership treated my wife and me fantastically. I would definitely give them two thumbs up.
The only tough part was driving home on back roads so the break-in wouldn't be on the highway.

|Thwopking||I passed by the jeep dealer in leesburg yesterday they had like 7 2012's. Ive had decent luck dealing with them in the past when I worked at a chrysler jeep dealership. I got my Jeep at Lustine....they usually have dozens in stock so they are more likely to deal on pricing.|

Safford in Fredericksburg also matched Joe's price, but, I ended up not going with them because they're too far.
Fair Oaks is closest to my house and my buddy bought 3 jeeps from them. Unfortunately, they couldn't match the price. I dealt with Thad and he was pretty straight forward, but, not very responsive.

I actually visited Stafford in Springfield twice since they were recommended by USAA. I didn't end up buying from them because they didn't have much of a selection of Wranglers and they were not able to give me a good price on pulling a vehicle from another dealership.

|HAFICON||I bought my 2012 JKU at Southern Jeep Greenbrier. It is in Chesapeake Va. I delt with Eddie Mac, he is good. Calls occasionally see if I want to go riding with his little (20+) group of Jeeps. I was over there the other day they had quite a few JK’s. Don’t know if you want to travel that far but I would at least call him.|

We drive down to Safford Of Springfield from NJ because they gave us an incredible deal on a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport S, all the other dealers around us didnt have what I wanted and all seemed really shady, most wanted to play games.
We dealt with Sam at safford, the process was quick and was one of the more pleasurable *american car purchases* we have been through. Although it wasnt like buying a BMW/Audi like were used to it was definitely great and my brother will be Ordering his JKU from them in a few months.

I will keep you informed once I see what he does. If I'd the Jeep dealer in Chantilly auto park, up to him now a hero or a .........|

I just picked up a 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Freedom Edition last night from Fair Oaks in Chantilly, VA.
I’ve spent the past two weeks calling, emailing and checking inventory with just about every dealership in a 100 mile radius.
I went with Fair Oaks because they had the Jeep I wanted in stock. I worked with Bonnie the internet sales manager. She provided me with price quotes and inventory via email.
I am planning on writing up another post on the whole buying experience later on this week.
One good resource to use is a website called DealerRater.com the link for NOVA is here:

If you have any questions feel free to ask here, or PM me.

This guy hooked me with ZERO drama. I HATE dealers, this guy was very good in my book. I would even to go say he was straight shooing, honest and got me a very good deal (cross shopped several other dealers)
