wat3rdog We just past thru there on the way to Breckenridge and back. Cant wait to get my jeep. We were in the wifes ride and I couldnt get off the road . I think late spring we will be doing some Colorado camping in the new jeep.

thanks for the advice. i have a "year" to plan my east to west trip. i was in Pagosa last year in november and it had snowed the week before i got there. hoping it snows but that they dont close i want to be able to go and not to be close but i want the pics with the snow... lol

i saw the entire album thats amazing.
Last October there was an early snow and all the passes were closed by Mid-October. That's not unusual.

Colo-TJ you would be ok alone....I wouldnt do Black Bear or Pougeskee gulch alone but everytthing else is good.
could snow in October but it would probably still be ok.

I'll be doing BBR and Immogene on the 17th. The 19th is Wednesday. That's a strange day to start a Jamboree. Anyway, looks like I'll barely miss them.

XJ Knight Know of govenor and yankee boy basin but have never heard of sydney basin.. Decided to google sydney basin colorado jeep.. and what shows up in the pics is the first pic posted by colo tj on this page

Colo-TJ yeah but they are nothing compared to the sidehill on sydney basin. I thought they were bad too and then.......we took sydney basin and I wasn't 100% sure that i was going to make it home. heck i wasn't even 50% . That sucker was nasty
