Love My S&W 15-22! I have had it for over a Year & It's been great you will go through lots of Ammo it's that fun to shoot,If you use a Regular Gun Cleaning Rod to clean the bore be very careful not to tweak/bend the ejector if it gets tweaked there will be plenty of issues,I just clean mine with a Patch Worm/Bore Snake. I don't think you have to switch buffers when putting a .22lr upper on. Because most of them are designed to not use a buffer. The bolt carrier usually has a built in spring system.

The Tommy Gun kit is so badass.

Lando25 The Mossberg looked like a plastic AR shell over a 10/22. Im just getting sick of shooting 20 round mags of .20 cent ammo.

daggo66 If it's anything like the Mossberg, it's going to feel very light and like a toy. The Colt feels like a rifle should. The available 30 round mag for the Colt is a big plus.

Lando25 This must be a ford vs chevy thing, I think the deciding factor will be when I go to cabalas and hold each one. I think the breach lock could get annoying, but at the same time im not completely sold on the M&P polymer upper and lower.

daggo66 The Colt M4 Ops is the one I have. I have had no issues with any ammo. Just this past Sunday I was shooting at 100 and 200 yards with iron sights and was very pleased with the accuracy. There is only one quirk I have ecountered and it's not that big of a deal. The breach won't remain open unless you put an empty mag in. It's only an issue for me because the range that I shoot at wants the breach open when the range is cold.

I still prefer the Umarex Colt over the S&W.
I have it narrowed down to the S&W and the colt m4 ops. I liked the metal lower on the colt, but I don't like the 180 safety turn and the receiver lock. I have heard that both are semi picky on the ammo they take.

daggo66 I have a Colt M4 .22. I love it. It's a blast to shoot. I put about 500 rounds through it this past weekend. I have a friend with the SW M&P .22 and she swears by it as well.

The S&W M&P 15-22 is the only .22lr AR style rifle I would ever purchase.
