lee indy I've had to pound the bottom lip of Mine back straight a few times. And a solid over travel stop would be nice too

Riccochet Robocop has the same setup I do. Bought mine from JeepAddons. No issues with my bumpers.

robocop I have had mine for about 6 months and had no issues at all. I rarely get off road and honestly bought mine for looks. No rust issues as of yet however I could just as easy remove and bedline them myself if any rust shows up.

troy b Yes I will indeed say that Chris is a great guy to work with, just ordered the rear bumper with tire carrier, painless transaction and he hooked me up too! Now, just to wait until I get home and can install it lol

sjbohman Thanks for the info! Bought the winch today!

ToplessTN I took the grille off today to install the Rugged Ridge grille kit and TruckLites. Taking the grille off was not a problem at all with the new bumper.
05-27-2013 10:23 PM
ToplessTN Washing and waxing the grille isn't a problem. I washed it yesterday after the install. There's a 1.25" gap.

The winch holes are 10" x 4.5". The width of the flat area where the winch would go is 25" x 7.875".

Great write up. Thanks.

How hard will it be to wash and wax the lower corners of the grill? I'm on the fence on bumper this bumper.

ToplessTN I got the Paramount front with LEDs and ear with tire carrier from JeepAddOns on Friday. Scott gave me great service and an excellent price. Less than $900 shipped for all.

There isn't a lot of firsthand info that I could find about these bumpers, so I'll add some of my experiences/thoughts.

Both bumpers came with D-Rings. 4 in total.

There were no blemishes on either bumper and no missing bolts. No instructions though. The bumpers were packed incredibly well. Inner layer of foam wrap, then a layer of cardboard, then a layer of plastic wrap and shipping tape, all enclosed in boxes.

The hardest part of the install for me was getting the stock front bumper off. The air damn and cover plate screws were a bitch. Ended up ripping the air dam off and dremeling the screws and nuts.

I installed both bumpers by myself in the garage with hand tools in about 4 hours.

After the first try the rear tire was tilting out and I didn't like the look. I pulled the spare tire off, loosened all the bolts, then inserted my receiver hitch into the receiver and used my floor jack to lever it up. I used a level to get it leaning a little inboard then tightened the bolts back up. Looks much better now.

I have a 2012 JKU and I didn't have to relocate the vacuum canister.

As others have said, the instructions for wiring the LEDs on the front bumper suck. They included a box that's supposed to make the outboard LEDs works as DRLs but I haven't tried wiring them up yet. The round LEDs are 4 LEDs each and the straight center ones are 5 LEDs each.

I'm running 35s and I set the piece that holds the tire to the tire carrier at it's lowest setting. I still have an inch or two of clearance between the tire and bumper. I left the stock tire bumpers on for now. I'll either take them off completely or change them to Daystars. They're a bit squished with the way I have the bumper set now.

I drove it for 300 miles yesterday with the top off and there was a little rattling when I hit potholes and such, but not enough to notice if you aren't looking for it.

If you're concerned about cops, you'll want to get a license plate relo kit. The tire mechanism locking handle blocks the rightmost letter of my plate. Also, you'll need a new 3rd brake light.

The rock crawler bumper with LEDs is a mid-width bumper.

I highly recommend this combo to anyone interested and I recommend contacting Scott at JeepAddOns as well.

The one issue with doing this or tapping into the factory fog wiring is the CANBUS system on the JK. There are mixed results on how well this works. Some people have no issues and some people have a bit of flickering. This isn't exclusive to Paramount, it's an issue with all LEDs and thus why direct battery wiring is recommended for LEDs.

The Reason for:
1.) Rear bumper does Not have trailer chain hook connections and also no place for the wiring of a trailer connection is that these bumpers are NOT RATED for Towing ONLY for trail accessing for recovery. No liability for any type of Trailer towing.
2.) Rubber bumper to tire carrier from tailgate is Not Needed.
3.) Support rubbers Not Needed between spare tire and tire carrier rack.
4.) Front bumper LED Lights can Only be used as Fog lights and NOT DRL's due to the fact that Wranglers do Not have a DRL (daytime running light system).

Tech Support seemed to be GREAT at Paramount for the questions I had.
Would Recommend this Product and jeepaddons.com Chris as a place to purchase this product. Part #'s 510315 Rear/ 510308L Front Bumpers.
4: yes, they can have this. With an AEV procal you can set up day time running lights.
