Hums99 I know is been awhile since someone had posted but I just did mine.
Had cj hinges leftover from1995 laying in garage and TJ hinges were frozen. Plus I have 3 hunting labs that prefer a tailgate to load onto.
It cost me $15. in materials.

4' of 3/16" coated strand
4 strand supports
1 piece of angle iron 1.5 x 1.5 x 3"

Now for corners, new fabbed tire carrier, and flush mount led tail lights

motorep I've got the aluminum Swag kit on my TJ. It blends in with my Savvy corner armor and was a pretty easy install. I agree with Jerry that it can be a pain to reach into the Jeep at times. However, I normally run with a safari top so I can reach over the sides when needed. When it gets too hard to get stuff in and out of the Jeep I guess I'll trade it for a golf cart

To me, while there is a certain coolness factor to it, the negatives having to lean over a drop-down tailgate all the time would make it a no-go for me personally.
Thats why I love the Rokmen unit
