|GrnTJ||Doh, my mistake. I thought the JK also used a 5 on 5.5" like the CJ. Very well then, the JK uses a 5 on 5" pattern.|

|Jma20a||the jk has a 5 on 5" wheel the cj has a 5 on 5.5"|

|GrnTJ||Almost all Jeeps are actually a 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern. Exceptions for the more common Jeeps are CJ's, Wagoneers, and JK's. So the TJ, YJ, ZJ, XJ, and MJ have the same pattern. Wagoneers are 6 bolt rims where as the JK and CJ use 5 on 5.5" patterns. Just a little extra info (and yes, I know there are more but those are the basics)|

if you look at the picture showing all the lug patters, the line that goes from one lug to the other is what you want to measure. so looking at the 5 lug pattern you start the measurement on the top lug and measure to the center of the lower lug. on a tj its a 5 lug 4.5" rim size.

Thanks for the info
and the lesson. I didn't know how to measure them. Good to know if I end up getting a used set of rims. I'd like to get some chrome rims to go with the new tires. I did hear that 31s would fit but decided to with the 30s so I wouldn't have to worry about wheel rub. I did look at the stickies but only for the TJ not higher up where I found even more info. Good tip.

You should learn how to measure bolt patterns then you will never need to find a chart again. Take a look at this.
Your TJ is 5 x 4.5.

Different Years and Rim bolt pattern?
I'm gettting some new tires on my 99 stock TJ with the stock 15" rims. I would like to go as big as I can without a lift kit. I was thinking maybe the BF G AT KO of BFG KA in a 30x9.5R15 size. My main ? is if I want new rims how do I know what bolt pattern is correct and is there a chart somewhere for this kind of stuff. Are the different models/years throught the whole TJ line the same bolt pattern?
evs(looking for some new to me rims :-)
