Kevinm2467 Hell yeah! I'm always looking for some jeep friends. I live in Portsmouth and we have a Facebook page called Jeep peeps. We get together and do wrenching parties sometimes. You ever wanna ride or hit some crazy trails that don't exist in our area, pm me! Hell I can just drink beer and talk about jeeps all night. My fun time always comes at tax time/ the mod money.

HarleyDad09 But to the original thread, I am interested in some basic offroading..mainly mudding to start. I have 0 off road experience. I know there is a lot of land in Va Beach/Pungo area, but it is all private!
07-27-2012 06:44 PM
HarleyDad09 I am a new Jeeper in VA Beach as well! As far as the Gov Property thing, I used to be stationed right behind NAS Oceana (The place with the big Golf Ball) and there was a Navy person that got caught Off Roading on the Navy Property and got the book thrown at them!

Noooooooooo

Folks in todays Political Environment, I'd avoid ANY Govt property, w/all care, especially, Military property!

Get caught and they WILL make an example of you

That's how I feel. I see them a lot and I don't want to venture out alone for the first time though.

Loganallday I have found about 4 spots but they are all on government property around Oceana. They all start from a main road and if you get on it and off it without being caught, I think you should be fine.

bigcountry0711 Is there any good places to climb rocks near there?
07-11-2012 10:50 AM
bigcountry0711 Might be moving to that area as the wifey is from there. Is there any trail reports out or something on the net. I am in Wyoming but I go to the mountains and play up there with you jeep. So I looking for rocks and mud but mostly rocks to play on and some nice scenic drives.
