|scotiez||I think thats a good choice for rims. I have always like the looks of those. Post some new pics once you get the tires and rims mounted up.|

Sure I would like to keep my MT rims and run some 33's but this recommendation keeps on coming from those with I6's. My little I4 cannot handle that size tire, lift and a small trailer

If I were you I'd keep everything on it and just downsize to 33's. Maybe trade the 2" body lift for a 1"? It will look nice. 33's and 4" seems to be the sweet spot IMHO.

|scotiez||Looks like a nice tire. Are you keeping the same rims you have on your jeep? If you get new rims i would get some close to the same style but not as deep.|

I looked at it the other day and you're absolutely correct. It has a 2'' suspension lift and a 2'' body lift. I am planning on taking the body lift off, just have to find out exactly how. Here are the 31 x10.5 15 tires that I ordered last night for $101 a piece Kumho Road Venture A/T's

|Ol' Red||there is no way you can fit 35's on just a 2 inch body lift, youve probably got a 2-2.5 inch suspension lift or 2 inch coil spacers on it too. take the body lift off and it will look fine with 31's.|

Can we get a picture of a front spring and sit on the ground and take a picture of the side of the Jeep. This will help decide the lift amount.
You'll need to regear with any tire larger than a 31. Also, bigger than 33's and a lot more mods should really be done. Depending on your lift it might be easier just to go back down.

|kylebgt||Thank you everyone for the warm welcome, this place is great! I have always been a jeep fan. I think it stemmed from my youth when my dad would tow me around in my sled in the deep snow in his good ole CJ. I remember riding in the passenger seat you could see the road beneath you . Hopefully Jeep worked out the rust problem with the TJ's. The Ford signs will stay That's my pride and joy Mustang gt 5spd in the background of the 1st pic. If the Jeep is good to me I just may add a sign I will be going with the 31's since the 4cyl is anemic. I think that I am going to find a set of used jeep rims and throw some Kuhmo Road Venture A/T on. They are $104 a peice and have good ratings. After that I'm gonna sell the set of Rims & tires that are on it now (poor college student) I am thinking that my Jeep has a 2'' body lift. Does anyone have a pic of a tj with this lift with 31's?|

|98TJWrangler||Welcome! Nice looking Jeep. I say ditch the 35's and get 32's or 33's.|

First, welcome to the WF!!!
Second, great look'in Jeep.
Third, find a Jeep sign to cover up the Ford sign.

|solo97tj||1loose the ford sign 2keep the 35s 3loose the body lift 4 or go with 33's over all it looks good!!!!|

And I'm afraid to move up to 31's on my 4 banger. I'm surprised that thing even moves haha. Definitely a really good looking heep. Congrats on a good purchase.
It looks like it just has a big body lift to clear those giant tires. Take the body lift off and go from there. 31's will fit a stock wrangler and you can get a moderate real lift from there.
Would recommend a 15x7 inch rim with 31x10.5 if you plan to wheel it. It'll be harder to loose a bead.
Congrats once again.

But what size lift do you guys think it has? 2'', 3''?? I am very inexperienced on off-road mods and am just starting to learn. I would go with 33's if I had a 4.0, but tires that large have got to be stressing my little 4cyl. I am pretty set on switching to 31''s but may need to ditch the rims as well to do that. Even if it has a 3'' lift 31''s should be large enough right? Thanks everyone!
Blacktoothgrin-Love the Jeep! is that a Sahara?

|Giancarlo||go with 33 12.5's thats what mine has... get the same kind of tire you have now.. and send me your 35's ill break em in for you.. if you go to small your jeeps gonna be disproportionate.|

Welcome to WF and good luck with your Jeep.
IMO - I would not downgrade to anything smaller than 33's unless you intend to remove your lift. Anything smaller will look out of place. I would also suggest a tire that is 10.5" wide so it does not go beyond the fender flares.
