relgnarw peej 2002 Update, landed a nice used 2.5 with 55k miles from work. Had all the goodies I needed to fix mine and I still have a backup motor just in case. But the issue ended up being a very small crack on the underside of the exhaust manifold.

2002 tj 2.5 exhaust flange bolt question

ok. I have the exhaust leak evryone seems to post about and it's at the flange from the manifold and I even located a box of gaskets that will actually fit as a doughnut gasket. but my problem is I am able to remove the bolt farthest from the motor , but the other that is closest to the block, i am unable to get a bit on. it's not stripped or anything. long story short does anyone have pics of the bolt setup so I can make sure the p/o didnt jimmy rig it or something. maybe a special tool? i used an offset 13mm to unbolt the the outer bolt. any help would be great and thanks.
