bigchris the 4 cyl isn't a power house, but my dad back in the day had a 2.5L cherokee w/ a 4spd MT, that little jewel had to be the best thing we ever had in the mid-mo snow/ice days. i'd say you did just fife for what you paid. it's relaible, but will have a hard time keeping bigger tires rolling. pics?

jupiterboy I just bought an '04 TJ with 12,000 for 12,900. It is the 4-banger though. If that helps.

Markvic2002 Thanks for the help guys, I had a car payment due so. I am going to keep looking. Just in case I find a better deal out there. Plus they shot to low for my audi on the trade in. I am going to yes what I can do becuase 12,970 for a 04 rubicon is a good deal.

MR.CLIFFORD I know where there is a great wrangler in Wichita.

Markvic2002 I am in Kansas City, Kansas (wyandotte county). Yeah my buddy has a soft top on his wrangler, but he always bitched about it. He did say the heaters worked really great.

distortedtj His profile says Kansas.

What part you from Mark?

scotiez That goes by matter of opinion also. The softtop guys like there soft tops, us hard top guys like the hard tops. I personally choose the hard top because of the extreme cold that we get. I have heard that it is hard to use the back because you can't unzip the soft top when it is really cold out. Also you can't scrape frost and stuff off the windows because they will scratch very easily. If your wondering about warmth then the soft top is just as good as the hard top. Jeeps have a great heater in them. Hard tops have a defrost for the rear window which comes in real handy for frost, and if you need to use the back you can easily open the endgate and lift the rear window to gain access no matter how cold it is. Where do you live anyway? Do you get a large amount of snow?

Markvic2002 Yeah they are both good buys, I think I am going to go with the 71000 miles one. I also Have one question, how bad are the soft tops in the winter?

scotiez Both sounds like great buys. The Engine is a 4.0 and they are pretty much rock solid as long as the previous owner took care of it. 72000 miles is not alot of miles. It really depends on what you would feel more comfortable with. You have to ask yourself if 40000 less miles is worth $4000.00 more. If money is not a problem then i would go for the one with less miles, but if it is a problem then i would go with the one with 72000 miles and save myself some cash. The amount of miles on either one shouldn't be a problem. When i bought mine it had 71250 miles and has been great.

Need Advice on TJ

Hi,
I am not really new to jeeps I have a Xj, that I off road with. Anyone back to my question. I am trading in my audi for a simpler TJ (something I can work on). I have been looking for TJs in my area. I dont want to spend more then 19000, not becuase I cant but I just dont want to. So Should I go with one with less miles that costs more, or one with more miles with less of a sticker. I am looking at Rubicons becuase I want the dual 44's. And my friend highly recommend full doors. I found one for 13000 with a winch and 72000 miles. But there are two others that have around 40000 or less on the miles and want about 17000. Can you guys give me some advice thanks!
