first you're gonna have to find a rim you like/ once you have that you'll know how big/wide you can go. there are several threads that address your questions and answer in depth and i'll provide those links for you. Also you want to keep in mind that changing tire sizes will often change the reading on your speedo.
here are some helpful links:

|iluvshoes||ohh another thing. Check to see what your bolt pattern is. Mine was a 5x5. I am not sure if yours will be the same. I believe it is but you may want to double check. Bolt patterns will matter what you can get.|

First Post: Newb Question - Want burly wheels on '11 JK, but not sure about size
First time poster and new 2011 Jeep Wrangler owner! Hoping for your help.
Everything on my Jeep is stock so far, and the first thing I'd like to change is the wheels/tires. If my searches on the internet haven't lead me astray, I *think* I have the sock 16" rims on it now with matching stock tires.
My quesiton is this: I want to know what the biggest size rims/tires I can get WITHOUT making any other changes to the car (like raising suspension or anything). I'm hoping to get some burly looking black rims, nice big wheels (ideally that set out a bit wider from the fender).
Anyone done this and have any info? Suggestions/pictures/measurements based on what you've tried? I sure appreciate any info you can share!
