Stormeister I think the question was full soft top or safari top.

I think it's bitter, biting cold here in winter and I have a hard top so you can guess which way I lean. Like the man said, it partially depends on where you're from. Being from southern California I never could get behind spending 15 minutes getting dressed just to drive to the store. (But, even for me, a bikini top would be nice on those rare beautiful days here.)

On the other hand, if you've gotten by for 3 years without a full top you have a good idea what you're up against.

I'd be tempted to hold off on the new top and keep my eyes open for a killer deal on a near-new soft top, as long as the safari top holds up. You could have the best of both worlds with some seasonal top changes.

VEGASJEEPER Soft tops are cool, but a big security risk.

Aus10 lilbit I say soft top all the way! Hard top is way to costly, just DO NOT leave any thing valuable in your jeep people like to tare the widows to get to costly items. My soft top serves the same purpose as some ones hard top, block the son and keep the heat in depending on the seasons and in the spring BAM take the windows off real fast and enjoy.

Have a good day there mate.

zoomdawg60 I think it all depends on where you're from and how much stamina you have. I too just have a Safari Top on my '08 Wrangler, but me and my dog just moved here from Canada and it never gets as cold here as it does where we were before, in Saskatchewan. As I tell everybody who decides to drive al fresco in the winter here... get cold? Put on a coat and a pair of gloves!

Having a soft top in Vegas

So hello guys! I am new here to these forums. I just have a quick question to ask you guys. Alright so i have a 94 jeep wrangler and I only have a safari top. I have had this wrangler for about 3 years now. For those 3 years i only had a safari top on through out all seasons. I do live here in Vegas and that is why i wanted to post this here. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question. I just want to know if it is better to buy a full soft top to replace my safari top. My jeep does not have AC at all, only a heater. So please respond back and tell me if i should just keep my safari top or if i should go with buying a new soft top. I do know there are many pros and cons with a soft top, but i want to know what you guys think. Thanks!
