87yjAR Cool ... Thanks for the thread. I am going out on a limb, and am going to try to put the diffs under my YJ frame. Using the donor frame(it's bent anyway) for all the bracketry. I have taken many measurements and the only issue so far is the width of the frame rails at the front differential hump. The yj is approx. 1 1/2 inches wider. I plan on correcting this with a notch and grafting in the TJ spring perch and shock mount. Any other ideas to look out for? The rear shock locations are opposites. TJ to the rear...yj to mthe front. But shock brackets are fairly simple.I will try and post pics as the project progresses if any are interested.

distortedtj If you want to add them to your YJ and use the leaves all you have to do is cut off the TJ brackets from the axles and weld on some spring perches.

It's not all that hard to set the pinion angle and such for a leaf sprung rig. You just need to set it before you weld the perches on.

TJ diffs in a YJ

I have just acquired a set of complete TJ diffs. D 30 front and D 35 rear 4.10 gears....I want to install them in my 87 YJ. Where can I find the right brackets and measurements to do this? I may be able to get a donor TJ frame..would this be the best approach? The TJ frame is bent in the front corner. It would not be a good candidate for use. But all the brackets/spring perches are intact...Any Suggestions???
