ameration I can't find the pic, but run a search for painted (or plasti-dip) 2013 Sahara wheels. I saw a picture of someone that did them black but left the edge similar to the way I did mine but they were on the newer style 2013 wheels. It looked incredible.

ameration I Plasti-Dipped my Sahara wheels to look similar to Altitude Edition wheels. The 2013's wheels are different though.

probably your best bet... then you can turn aorund and sell yours on CL.. i just sold mine for $850 2013 Sahara wheels/tires

OR you can Plasti-dip your Sahara wheels and get the black look...do a search there is a Sahara wheel Plast-dip thread on here.

LoveJiuJitsu What you should ask for is "take offs". A lot of the dealers here will get inventory in, and immediately ship them to the local 4x4 shop for a lift, new rims, and tires. The dealer holds onto the older rims/tires. My dealer said he would do this for me when I purchase if they have any in.

D L Sounds like I might be better off trying to swap with someone who buys a '13 rubi? I like those rims/tires. But I would likely still need to buy a set of snow tires.

Sueby My dealer is swapping out wheels but it's a different scenario. I'm having them swap my current wheels on my 2012 sport with my new Rubi when it comes in. But they make out - they get to sell my old '12 with Rubi wheels...

N3M0 i HAVE heard of dealerships buying aftermarket wheels and tires to make the jeep more appealing to customers, but they add it into the sticker price of the jeep under dealer packages.

N3M0 i just cant fathom it. they would have to give you altitude rims and purchase a new set to place on the altitude yours came off of in order to sell it as an altitude. not to mention when you pull up the vin on the donor vehicle it would list alititude rims/tires but they wouldnt be there. jeep charges a premium for their crapily backspaced wheels, something like 3-400$ per rim so it would cost them $2000 to basically buy a second set of altitude wheels to give to you.

there is a thread out there on this somewhere i was reading it yesterday. there is more to it than just taking wheels off of one jeep and putting them on another.

I have been following the 2013 information thread and several people have talked about dealer swapping rims.

Swapping 2013 Sahara Rims with Altitude's

Have a 2013 Sahara on order, but I don't want all the chrome on the jeep. I was wondering if anyone could give some advice on swapping the rims out?

I like the look of the altitude rims, how would I go about approaching a dealer to swap them? Even swap? Would I keep the tires from the Sahara? If not, how do the altitudes tires match up?

Would I be better off selling them? I need some tires that are good in the snow because I will be taking the jeep on mtn passes. I was thinking if I sold them I would get some black 15's or 16's with Beefier tires.
