Do the lights still work well? Any issues with the DDM kit?
I plan to do this soon, but I have Delta head lamps.

I did not have the warning sticker that you can see on Mr. Necromancer's lights. I think I also see one on his box. My housings are the exact same with the same writings but they just don't have the warning stickers.

|wmdavis007||If they are Hella e-codes then they are not DOT approved and they are for offroad use only here in the States. But A LOT of people run them here...as for a "sticker" saying for offroad use only, if they do not have DOT in the glass they are not legal. But I run them and have never had a problem passing inspection|

Just got my hella Ecodes lights from Quadratec today in the mail. They did not come with bulbs but I will use DDM's bulbs. I noticed that they did not come with the infamous "sticker" that would deem them somewhat illegal so I am happy about that.
I will post pictures after completing the installation when the DDM kit arrives.

Hopefully Bambi's and her fawns will be safer around me at night.

A headlamp system is required to produce a low and a high beam, which may be achieved either by an individual lamp for each function or by a single multifunction lamp. High beams (called "main beams" or "full beams" or "driving beams" in some countries) cast most of their light straight ahead, maximizing seeing distance, but producing too much glare for safe use when other vehicles are present on the road. Because there is no special control of upward light, high beams also cause backdazzle from fog, rain and snow due to the retroreflection of the water droplets. Low beams (called "dipped beams" or "passing beams" in some countries) have stricter control of upward light, and direct most of their light downward and either rightward (in right-traffic countries) or leftward (in left-traffic countries), to provide safe forward visibility without excessive glare or backdazzle.

Headlamp sold in Sweden not long before Dagen H changeover from left to right hand traffic. Opaque decal blocks the lens portion for low beam upkick to the right, and bears warning "Not to be removed before 3 September 1967".Because wrong-side-of-road headlamps blind oncoming drivers and do not adequately light the driver's way, and blackout strips and adhesive prismatic lenses reduce the safety performance of the headlamps, some countries require all vehicles registered or used on a permanent or semipermanent basis within the country to be equipped with headlamps designed for the correct traffic-handedness.[according to whom?] North American vehicle owners sometimes privately import and install Japanese-market (JDM) headlamps on their car

I currently have the hella vision plus with the HB2 bulbs. Would it be possible to upgrade to the setup you are running and use my existing housings? I know I would need to do the wiring upgrade but wasn't sure what the difference was between the two housings besides one not being DOT approved.

But can someone explain to me how quadratec thinks they can get away with almost $15 for shipping and on PIAA 520 ATP they are charging me $38???!! The total with the combined is $48 just to ship to ohio.

here is the pic of the hella reflector.. i removed both of them as my kensun bulbs already have reflectors and i needed to clean the haze on the lens. ill upload a wall pattern pic when i adjust them, prob tonight.

For what it's worth, my HID auxilliary lights had a failure to reliably start on one bulb. I made it work for a while by turning it off/on a time or two until the bulb started. It got steadily worse and I cured it with a new HID BULB.
I gotta say, I still have misgivings about HID's in Halogen reflectors versus the projector housings. Could you please publish the light pattern on a wall when you do the following aim procedure?
