|Big Cole||You will need to also install a set of rear upper adjustable control arms when installing the sye/cv shaft, which are not included with the zone lift. East Coast Gear Supply is a common distributor of 8.8s. I would suggest installing the lift, sye, and 8.8 all at one time then having the cv shaft made for to your specifications. I'm not sure what transmission you have but if its the 5 speed manual then you may want to consider 4.56 gears in the 8.8 and having your front Dana 30 regeared to match. At this point, you might as well install lockers too.|

I would add your SYE the same time you do your lift. Then you can save for your gear swap.
I never owned a jeep with coil overs but i did my 3" budget lift with hand tools and a spring compressor with no issues other than the usual stuck bolt or 3.
* i meant never owned a jeep with leaf springs

My new to me 99 TJ
Finally after having 2 CJ's and 2 YJ's I've crossed over to the dark side. The jeep is spotless as far as rust or dings. I think I got a good deal, but that's always in the eye of the beholder.
Here's where I have a problem. I understood the leaf sprung suspensions pretty well. I'm clueless about coil springs. Based on my research their much more finicky and complicated.
A few questions for you experienced folks. I plan on the following upgrades but I'm not sure what order to do them. Budget is a issue. I can spend money but not all at once.
1. Suspension lift to accommodate 33" tires know with the ability to do slight modifications to fit 35" in the future. I was thinking the 4.25 Zone combo first and adding spring spacers and adjustable control arms over time.
2. SYE and CV shaft: Can I do this first or will my suspension changes require to many DS modifications?
3. 8.8 rear axle and gear change.
Compared to lead springs, how difficult are coil spring suspensions to change and get setup properly?
PS: I know the 3" body lift is bad juju! It will be removed eventually along with
All the tube crap. ;-)
