kecksnext Kinda sounds like a hot catalytic converter and that wouldn't be anything to worry about.

Ticking/creaking when warmed up

When my engine warms up I start hearing a ticking or creaking sound from the jeep. It almost sounds like an analog clock second hand only more sporadic. The ticking continues after the jeep is off. Is this normal. Also at higher speeds I smell the very faint smell of exhaust fumes? But I could be wrong. The jeep is a 4ltr automatic 06.
