PA Blondie Got my Jeep last year after my husband got tired of my taking his Ford Raptor. The kids ended up wanting to take my Jeep when we went anywhere over the truck. Our 8 year old daughter had decided she wants a purple Jeep when she is old enough to drive. I laughed because I'm wanting to repaint mine purple already and that will most likely end up being hers.

The looks I get when driving up in my Jeep to her soccer practice... totally not your typical soccer mom!

jeepjeep1961 Took my daughter with me to pick up my Mustang. Gave her choice of vehicle to drive home, she picked Jeep since she hadn't driven it with the lift and bigger tires installed. She followed me home and asked if I got a lot of comments from people regarding the Jeep. Told her just the usual waves-Why? She says that at every stop light some guy would comment on how cool her Jeep was or some such thing. Told her that I'm sure it looks better with cute 20 year old female driving it. Asked what she said to guys, she told them to tell her dad, that its his and he's in front of her in the mustang. Didn't get any comments myself, but she says that seemed to leave them at a loss for further conversation.

Hurst My wife and I were on the way to the park with the dog. The top was off. It was a chilly morning. While sitting in the turn lane at a stop light, a bright yellow tj stops beside me (he had a green light), rolls down his window and says - do you have the heater on? We just smiled and said - Sure do!. It was a white haired 80 year old couple out playing in their jeep. It made me smile the rest of the day.

ChrisD65 when I first bought my 99 TJ my wife and I went for a drive down Hampton Beach NH and it was crowded with people.I stopped for this group of people in a crosswalk and one man said to me " if there was one car to run over me I would want it to be a Wrangler" That made my whole night !

I almost made that mistake. Bought my TJ brand new in march of 02. Just had it restored. New custom bumpers, rust touched up, carpet removed and replaced with bed liner, step bars. Looks brand new and feels brand new too. With only 134,000 miles I figure I can get another 200,000 as long as the body holds up. I plan on giving it to my daughter when she turns 16, that's 13 years away

Sheklikak My story is with a fellow jeeper, but I thought I'd share anyway. I had just returned to my gray TJ after getting groceries. As I was tossing the bags in the back (windows off day) I heard someone yell, "Hey A**hole!". I didn't think anything of it but he repeated it even louder. I naturally turned to look, thinking I was going to witness some sort of altercation, but instead I see this very angry guy walking over to me. "What the f*** are you doing to my jeep?"

"Excuse me?" I'm not a little guy, and if this guy thinks he is going to mess with my baby he is walking towards the Valley of Shadows.

He says, "My jeep! Why are you throwing your garbage in my jeep???"
It's at this point I begin to realize what the problem might be and I start to look around the parking lot. There, about twenty feet away is another gray TJ almost identical to mine, and I look back at him. He looks over my shoulder and yep, see's his jeep, and as the color leaves his face he now begins to realize he may be in for some trouble. He then blurted out THE most sincere "I'm sorry!" that I'd ever heard.

Now I'm not really the guy to be worried about, not violent or Mr. Tough Guy, I just look like the last guy you'd want to mess with for some reason, and knowing this, the look on his face was priceless. I could not help but start to laugh. We were both laughing soon enough and talked about our mods and swapped some stories as the ice cream melted and the beer got warm.

kawzak I have a fire red 98 wrangler with tan top, 31" BFG w/ alum mags with 1-1/2" holes in round pattern. 2" lift. looks really nice-get complements every where we go from jeepers and non-jeepers. Also have been made offers to buy many times.

Bomberdrz Since I have an '04 Willys edition I usually here things along the lines of "I didn't know they still made Willys." or "Is that a real Willys?" or my all time favorite I've heard a few times " You know that's not a real Willys. They don't make them any more."
I had one guy ask me if it was a 6 cylinder then he went on about how great the old slant 6 they put in Jeeps are. So great in fact they still use them.

A nice older woman said something similar to me. The Jeep clearly isn't my parent's car and she knew it. I gave her a wave and a smile and carried on with my fun.

K.wag Lockers have a benefit to provide, but I definitely have noticed that the coils have a significant advantage over leif

Mike02TJ I have a 02 tj with 4" lift, And 33's. The other day went trail riding with some guys I just meet . They Had CJ's on 35's, and A YJ with a smaller lift and some 31's. The CJs Had a very Hard time climbing A Hill, The YJ Beat the Crap out of his, then Had to be Pulled up the Hill, Then I went up the Hill not even slipping a tire, and got to the top and one of the CJ guys said " Those Lockers Help A lot" . Then I told him it Did not Have Lockers, Just Coil Springs.
