alittleoff Some of my co-workers have stopped asking me why I rub my Jeep against the rocks. I always say because it's built for that. Then I ask them when was the last time they flogged their muscle cars. And then the excuses come at me, the police this... the police that. Gas cost too much. I'm sure you guys and ladies have heard them before.

Steve

Although I am jealous, a few of them have some wicked rides.

3X4X4 Woman in an Elantra asks me what Rubicon means, in a smartaxx tone. I told her I know what it means and I will tell her when she tells me first what the bleep Elantra means. Bimbo.

I think its funny everyone thinks its new when its 15 years old. will really be funny when I park on top of the person that complained its a grand pre

RMSpiel I've gotten the typical "don't you feel like you're going to fall out without doors?" My response is "that's what seatbelts are for!" My friend also told me that she was fine riding in it without a top or doors around town but didn't want to go off roading with me in it. Her reasoning was "I don't want to drive for 3 hours in your death machine" She drives a Nissan Cube
She also tried to say that I was always fixing it because it falls apart on me while I'm driving. I had to correct her and say I'm not fixing it, I'm modding it, constantly lol

specialk0412 I try to never have the doors on, but I hear all the time at drive thrus, sometimes other places, "Doesn't it scare you to not have doors? I'd feel like I was going to fall out!"

And I always have people roll down their windows to ask me what year it is and tell me how much they like it.

mch186 I'm a girl and I tend to work on my jeep right outside my apartment, anytime I'm doing something (whether replacing the bumper or just putting the top back on) my neighbors come out and ask if I need some help. They then proceed to say they have no idea what they're doing but helping to lend a hand, "I shouldn't have to do it by myself".
2 things, 1) I can handle my jeep just fine on my own, 2) if you don't know what you're doing don't come near my jeep.

Redsand Should have told him to consider drinking bleach

scottieg40 A cop at a check point said, "I'm considering giving you a ticket for having no mirrors"... I had the doors off. What a dick move. Btw, he didn't give me a ticket because another cop at the checkpoint was a jeep owner and told him to back off. HAHAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

mikhail2400 Since I lifted mine and did a few other mods I get a lot of; Is that the same Jeep you used to have?
Then I get; Wow it looks like a completely different vehicle! I want it!
Sometimes I get; How much you want for it? My reply; You would be better off buying a new one, be cheaper anyway. To buy this one you would have to pay enough for all the mods on my next one.

freonburn Jeep club had a meetup the other night in a Target parking lot and a couple of girls pulled up in a car of some sort. Here's how that convo went:
--Them: Whats going on here?
--Me: Jeep club meeting
--Them: Do you guys do mud runs and things like that?
--Me: Yeah. They don't get this dirty stayin on the pavement.

I was laughing about it for a while. Same meetup, a guy rolled past in a smartcar or a fiat 500 with a soft top... he just stared and moved slowly by kept stopping to watch us. had the soft top pulled back so we could see his face as he's looking over his shoulder. When he was leaving a while later, he rolled by slowly again, but had his top up this time and didn't stop nearly as much.

Nvhunter While shopping around for tires I had a guy at Walmart question me on whether 33s would fit on my Jeep.

I had to control myself. I have a 5" lift and no fenders. I just told him I probably fit 35"s but I'm sticking to 33"s since I only have a 4 banger.

Michellestemper1221 I was at a red light and a guy asked me if I got a good deal on my jeep and what I paid for it and if I liked my jeep? I looked back at him with the strangest look like why would you ask somebody what they paid for something and then isn't it obvious why would I buy a jeep if i didn't like it. As Jeff Foxworthy says, " here is your sign"

RustyNail I've heard "Why do you have to have two of them?" a couple times now. Truth is that I wish I still had every one that I've ever owned. I always regret parting ways with a Jeep... Especially when I have to see someone else driving it around.

I reply " Naw, the mud on it is just holding everything together."

They are made to roll safely and I think that's what people miss. Any vehicle is likely to roll in certain circumstances; this is especially so with any vehicle with a high center of gravity.

I hear that a lot, even from extended family members after I bought mine. My response is always, "It's not that hard to find one for sale!"

Of course as I very well know it's often very difficult to find the right one for sale!

FiteClub I dropped my daughter off for cross country practice. They were having a special workout at a nearby field so it gave me a chance to take the Jeep off pavement. When I pulled up, the coach said, "Where are the doors??"
I gave my usual Doc Brown influenced reply, "Doors? Where we're going we don't need any doors!"

She did say she loved the Jeep. When I told her she could go for a ride, she said "Nope, not without any doors!"

Meanwhile, the other CC kids were gathered around admiring and complimenting. My daughter got a bunch of cool factor points when I told them it was hers to drive when she got her permit.
