scottieg40 Back when my '94 Sahara was stock and had saggy leaf springs a guy with a jacked up tj said, "did you get that lowered?" A couple weeks later I lifted it because of the shame haha

Bredirish123 I get some funny comments fairly often. One of my favorites was when I pulled into a Kroger parking lot doorless and with my top down, some lady looked at me and with sheer fascination and concern asked me, "What happened to your doors?!"

I replied in a very over the top and frantic way, "This keeps happening to me! Someone has been running off with them!"

Needless to say we both had a good laugh.

Fullback40 Usually just nice Jeep or how much would you sell it for? My usual answer is it's not for sale. Some guy told me everything has a price. To which I said $50,000 cash. His response that's rediculous to which I responded you don't want it bad enough then

kgrome My wife has a Jeep Liberty that she says is better than my TJ because I am always working on it. Then i take the top and doors off and laugh in her face.

My wife also asked why people never wave to her when she is in the Liberty. I just laughed.

My wife cannot drive my Jeep because it is a manual. Game; Set; Match!

Alley Oop I live in Southern California and non American people are constantly found filling up at the local gas station off I-10 freeway.
My tj was dirty, the top was off, and I was filling up with gas. No big deal, just fairly normal. I have a ZORT ( the round one with the bio hazard emblem ) decal sticker on the side. It's Zombie lime green. My seats are black and olive green , and I have a olive drab cargo net.

As I was filling up with gas and this very small south american lady (who was coming from the on site store,) who had three kids with her looked at the jeep.

She saw the decal, got a real scared look on her face, looked at me 6'1" and then she grabbed her kids and quickly ushered them to her small Toyota her husband was filling with gas.

She never said a word. But as they pulled away from the gas station she was still staring at me with a scared look on her face....??

GWS22 I had a guy stop me at the gas station (most of these posts start in a gas station!) and asked me how much I spent restoring my CJ... I said it was a 2006 Golden Eagle. He said "oh wow! I thought was a restored '80's CJ... It looks brand new!"

mikewheel i was helping a guy change a blown out tire in an empty parking lot. someone pulled up next to us asking if everything was alright, then he looked at me and said, "nice jeep, how much would you sell it for?" i also get the normal "why did you get a jeep in THAT color?"

SalTJ A week after i bought my TJ, i was loading two six foot sections of a 2x4 through the back in the Home Depot parking lot. An older guy and his wife pulled up in a huge RAM Extended Cab. He walks over to me and says, "I will give you my truck to hall that wood if I can have your Jeep. Always have wanted one of those." No way, that wood was used to build a hard top hoist in my garage.

AVtj03 "How'd you get so much mud on the inside?"

Focke Wulf I have had many people say "it must be cold in the winter". I always say "that's why I have a jacket and the heat on.

sanarchy the general comment/observation that i have noticed goes something like this, "wow, that thing is really bitchin'."

i have also heard "damn, i shoulda bought one of those" or "this thing is way nicer than i would have thought"

blade4804 did a jeep caravan and got into a parking lot, setup for pictures and the restaurant patio crowd got to watching. as we broke it down and parked like normal people we drove passed a group of people, my TJ being last in line of a bunch of brand new JKU's and these two teenage girls (bout 13 or 14) pulling their mom by the hand pointed at my jeep and squealed, "thats my favorite" I live for those precious moments. <3

dotey1 Was in the garage with the wife getting ready for a yard sale when she spots the front sway bar leaning against the wall. She asks if that is a gas line or something. No you dont want to know what it is. Its off the jeep. Now why am I not surprised, she says

JakAttak BSing with a buddy in the hole filled gravel parking lot. He says you must not feel a thing driving over this in the jeep. Yeah something like that.

Super Jeep When getting an oil change and you hear the tech yell from the pit, "ahh why are there so many of these damn things!" Talking about the zirk fittings. Lol

LI-LJ One of the best thing's I've heard so far was from a friend of mine. We were discussing some mods to do to my LJ and he simply said, "I wouldn't change anything, it's the perfect vehicle the way it is." I couldn't agree more with him.

Midman03 While I was getting an oil change today I had the doors off and another customer (getting work done on his Toyota) walked up to me and said "damn I would love to drive that around today in this weather." I chuckled and said "thank you but she's mine." Made me think if he had one in his garage at home.

Talking to a chick tonight who had no idea they made the LJ. She's talking about how she wants an unlimited and I'm like 2 or 4 door, she responds "they only make four door" I point to my tj and say they make this model with a 10 inch longer wheelbase. They look on her face was priceless

Dragonii Ask him what he's doing with his Taco on National topless day when you take your top and doors off and drive off with your foot out the side to hang out with hundreds of fellow jeepers.

orange_sport_4.0 I was talking to a neighbor the other day who owns a completely stock 2013 Toyota Tacoma. I started talking about how nice my Jeep is to drive in the snow and he said: "Well, my truck can do everything your jeep can do, plus it can haul stuff". I just nodded.

No joke, i lost my key to my jeep and had to call a locksmith. He spent 20 minutes sitting in the jeep looking confused. I finally asked what the issue was. He said "i think i cut it wrong, it turns but i cant get it back out"
