|luke7575||Im in a 2013 Jku with a hole bunch of weight on top running stock 4.10 (what the sticker said when I bought it) and 37s almost 38s and sucks on highway but I still get about 12.5 to 13.5 average. Which is better that my 03 tj rubi so not much complaining here, waiting on ripps supercharger to come out then I will regear accordingly.|

We're running 37s with stock 4.10 gear ratio in our 2012. Its an auto and we don't have any desire or need right now to regear it.
Its just like the other guys said. Its all different and everyone has a different opinion. I know guys running 35s and they absolutely wanted to regear and they did.
We ran 37s on stock 373s in our 2010 for about a year.
The only real difference for us in regearing our axle was the effect it had off road. The on road speed issues to us wasn't a big factor.

The lift has no bearing on the gear ratio. Manual vs. Auto also plays a part in it. You can probably go up to 35" tires with your 4.10 gearing. If you want to go bigger then a change to 4.56 or 4.88 would be more than enough gearing.
A 2.5" lift can fit 35's and 37's with flat fenders. Anything bigger than 3" you may run into pinion and caster troubles.

I have a 2012 as well, running 35s with 3.73s and I'm just fine for now. Still pulls on the highway!

There is no "rule" on regearing. It'a up to you.
You have a Rubi. Assuming 4:10's. Even with 3.73's the 3.6 should be Good up to a 35" tire.

how big of a lift, and how big can u get tires & wheels before you have to regear the vehicle for better performance.?
