Jrmdad Thanks for the advise. I already have the exhaust spacer. I am considering 33s instead of 35s and programming to compensate for gear ratio and tire size.

kbwwolf Almost forgot...with a 3" lift, you'll need (at the least) a TeraFlex exhaust spacer so your exhaust pipe and driveshaft won't hit when you go off-road. If you go with an aftermarket front ds such as Adams, JE Reel, Tom Woods or Coast, you won't need the spacer.

Then again, spacer is ~ $50; front ds is ~ $350-$500.

With a 3" lift and 35" tires, you'll be right on the edge of eventual driveshaft damage. Not something to sweat until/unless it happens, but don't be surprised if you have ds problems in the future (especially front). Read this: What Happens to Your OEM Driveshaft When You Put a 3"+ Lift on Your Jeep

35's will kill your mileage. No surprise there, and a Jeep ain't a Prius to begin with. Thank god. But if you have 3.21 gears, you may also need to spend the +/– $1500 to regear. Otherwise high gear on the freeway and going up hills will be virtually unusable.

If you plan on wheeling your Jeep with 35's, it would be wise to get a sleeve & gusset job done on your front axle (I'd do it even if you don't plan on off-roading, but that's just me).

Depending on the weight of your new wheel/tire setup, you may need a rear bumper/tire carrier combo, or a standalone tire carrier such as the OR-FAB or the TeraFlex HD Tire Carrier.

Your tire choice will depend on what kind've wheeling you plan to do...in mud, big rocks, mostly fire roads, etc. I bought GoodYear DuraTracs cuz I live in Wisconsin, and have to deal with snow for about half the year. The DT's are great in snow, rain, mud...but they have relatively weak sidewalls, which makes em susceptible to damage in the rocks.

Also, you can save a pile of $$ by going to smaller rims...most 15" alloy rims will clear your brake calipers (most 15" steelies won't). Tires will be MUCH cheaper for smaller rims, and your wheel/tire combo will be a lot lighter, as well.

JKU.12 I'm going to be purchasing the MB72s and 35x12.5x15 BFG KM2

It's a light combo, around 75lbs, and looks tough on a 4dr.

I'll be using a spacer 2.5" lift for the time being.

Both wheels and tires were highly recommend on here and other sites. Plus that whole set up weighs a couple more lbs then if you bought Rubi takeoffs
