Neil F. Mine is an 03 but I think I have it from input on another forum. You do have to drill the holes then insert nuts into the space behind the plastic wheel well liner.

98TJSahara Mine is a '98, and I know that the bolts only match up for 97' to ('99, i think, maybe '00). And from either from '00 (or '01) to '06. So my guess is that you have a combo of those 2 senerios going on. The instructions are real vague. However the install should be easy. Just mark and drill where needed...... If you rough fit the tube to the frame, to how you think it should be then measure it and do the same for the other side. Keep in mind its hard to center them, i noticed, cause the step portion of the tube is not centered, but the step should obviously be center under the door appropriatly. Also, the full step should look centered between the wheel base. I am saving that for a winter project.....

98TJSahara Yup, most likely. what year is your Jeep and what year are the steps off? I do have the instructions still, 'cause I've yet to install the new tubes. I removed the stock plastic steps and thought the clearence with the looked cool so i left it for now.

MOPAR tube steps installation

I picked up a used set of Mopar tube steps without hardware. The front mounting points match up with my existing steps but the rear lines up with the rear part of the body where there are no holes. I assume I need to drill and use inserts but does any one know or have instructions?
