yjJEEPyj Yours is most likely a 4.10 it will say it on the ring gear.

cozeinlb Totally shot all rusted up solid. I guess that's waht I get for not 4 wheeling enough.

Where would gearing be marked?

4Jeepn any year Yj will work.. but you will need to match the gears or 4wd will not work.. I will guess you have 4.11/4/10's. try craigslist or car-parts.com for junkyards in your area. What all is toast? rusted gears , busted gears?

Front Diff is Toast, replacment? Hellp!!!

OK so I was hoping it was just the axle seal but salt water had gotten into the diff and it is toast.

Looks like easiest route is to replace the whole thing. Anybody know what years models would fit into an 89, YJ, 4 cyl, with ax-5 and np231. Would cherokee or other jeep models fit?

Anybody know any good sources?
