bobbossert Thanks for the replies. The end of the zipper (the pin) is very difficult to pull into the box. Once pulled in, the slider is difficult to start. Once started, the zipper works great. The ends of the zipper don't appear twisted.

From the last reply, you referenced that I may not be paying attention to the direction of the end... could you help clarify.

livewire195 My zippers were shot and a lot of the 'fighting' was because zipper ends were twisted and most likely you aren't paying attention to the direction of the end.

Look at it closely next time you do it, should make it a ton easier to do.

lwszabo Try hooking the header bar but not clamping it down until all the windows are in. Make clamping it down the last thing you do.

Difficult Starting Zipper on Soft Top Windows

Hello... I have a '03 Jeep Wranger X and find it very difficult to start the zipper on both the side and rear windows. I have purchased the Mopar Cleaner/Lubricant and the zippers work fine once it is started. Any suggestions on how to more easily start the zipper.... instead of having to fight to start it every time Thanks!!
