Help

I recently let a friend of mine put tires on my jeep and they are just a little oversized. After that my overdrive button is over riding overdrive all the time and it is slugish at stops to the point were i manually shift into first to get it going. I am worried the trany is going bad but someone said something about a sensor. my truck is a 1995 jeep grand cherokee larado 4.0
