|rykemc||Looking good sir. Can't wait to start putting mine back together again.|

Got everything back together and greased up finally. Used the hammer method to get the u joints done and lubed it all up good and put it back together. Just test drove it and I'm happy to have rear wheel drive again. Front wheel only sucks.
Probably going to get a spare slip yoke and u joints for in the future. Once again, highly recommend using the drivetrain shop link posted above for any drivetrain parts.

|airspeed247||I am having the WORST time ever trying to separate this slip yoke from the shaft. It's about halfway out and just seazed in there. I broke my rubber mallet and have torched and pb blasted the hell out of it but it's coming out millimeters at a time extremely slowly. Anyone have any tips. I'm all blistered up from a "simple" project. Lol|

Thanks man, i appreciate it. Ive been doing the same.
For the shackles i went to lowes and found some metal pipe then cut it with a pipe cutter. Pretty sure it was 3" pieces. Then just put that in the middle and used grade 8 bolts for the top and bottom and 5 in the center. I think they were 5" bolts and I ended up trimming them up a bit.

|Carralo1||Great build man, I've been following it from the beginning it's looking sick. What'd you do for the center bolt/spacer on your shackles, Any dimensions? I got the same ones To put on after I finish up my frame|

Finally got to really get the jeep out and test it's abilities. Really happy with the weekend but it ended short with a broken driveshaft. Had to limp 230 miles back home in front wheel drive. Super sketchy as it pulled hard left and right with acceleration and deceleration.
Anyone know if I can just get that bottom half of the shaft replaced or do I have to replace the whole thing?

^ thanks, I appreciate it.
@ springs,I'm hoping the same works for myself. Just need the extra money now for it.
I was talking to a TJ owner the other day who had the 2". He said the guys charged him $400 for the kit and installation... I was thinking to myself. Damn, I'm in the wrong business.. Lol

|Springsblueyj||Looking good. After the body lift you should be fine with rubbing. I can't get mine to rub under full flex. Shackles look good.|

And then today I finally finished replacing the junk rear shackles I had in there and the stock from ones for the booms I got offline. (link is a few replies above)
Overall: exceptionally happy with them! They look super heavy duty and great price. Look forward to testing them out in Austin in 2 weeks.

|airspeed247||Here's some tucking of the 35's. Almost have it in there but the 2" body lift is like to get and maybe a little longer bump stop should do the trick. Definitely works much better with the fender trimmed though. I'm happy with that.|
|10-12-2012 04:04 PM|
|airspeed247||Removed the side fenders and step to give it a cleaner look. I'm going to work on putting some angle iron there in its place and make a step soon. For now I just primered it though. Looks cleaner for sure.|

Hoping to fix my headlight problem I went ahead and took the switch out and cleaned all the terminals as well as the headlight connections themselves. It was pretty dirty so I'm glad I did.
I'll see if it fixed it tonight, otherwise I'll take it apart again and check out the heat connections as mentioned above.

|Springsblueyj||I have a 2" body lift. I personally like it. My bro has a 3" and I thinks it's a bit much.|

Shackles came in and very nice product. I recommend them to all. Especially for the price and quality.
Rear installed with front going in today. Pictures to come!

Alright, I need you guy's assistance please.
I am pretty set on getting a 2" body lift, mainly because I feel like paying bascially $100 for just 1" isn't worth the money to me. With 2" at least I feel like I am getting something. I know 3" is WAY to much and it looks goofy in my opinion and nearly everyone mentions the 1 1/4" being perfect.
I just need a bit more clearance to flex. I have the 4" pro comp leafs and basically have the shackle lift (replacing the shackles this week with Booms though) and I figure body is the last thing I can do.
Anyone have the 2" and regret it? I plan on removing the factory bushings and just put in the new pucks so its probably going to be 1 3/4" anyways but want to here if anyone has regrets? Thanks

Just ordered a set of these boomerang shackles. Read really good reviews on them and for $50? Sounds great. I'll post more info when I get them and instal them.

When I get the money I'm going to toss some new 35" KM2's on there but these will do for a while.
Next on the list is new shackles and small body lift.
