I don't know honestly. We could all just pick a place to grill out. I offered up the hill as a spot or we could try to find a backyard at someone's place. Not much chatter on it do we would hafta all come together pretty quickly to figure something out.

If not I'm goin wheelin a little on sat up by lackland

Hey N1ghtwolf25, I figured it out. If you are on the Jeep Nation facebook page, it's in your events section (J.A.R. Bar). Robert sent the invite to all the members on facebook.

I was thinking that IF anyone wanted to, I know a semi private wheeling spot that we can go get some fun in on sat or sun out near sea world...

I would be more than happy to help coordinate...

There is a BBQ on the 8th of Sept. Here is the link to the facebook event page with all the info.

N1ghtwolf25 McCallister park (near blossom athletic center)
Has everything requested, plus pavilions, dunno the logistics for getting the pavilions, and a 2 children's playground areas

Live oak park
Smaller, has frisbee golf coarse, don't know if you can drink, cops there are.....picky

Bracken ridge....but well it's labor day likely to be very crowded

Olmos park, lots of shady areas, tends to be cooler because of all the trees

These are places I have been and can of that would suite the bill.

HerJK-X We'll only be able to make it after 6 pm.

orngcrushrgrl Ok so there are a couple options I can offer. The HOA in my neighborhood has a park that has pavillions, grills, and play area. Ample parking and such.

There is also a spot out near 1604 and Spurs Ranch where we can hop curb and bbq in a field type area. Plenty of parking for rigs, as well as place to set up canopy/tables ect. This spot has no tables or grills, its just a spot. I go here often to sit on top of the jeep and watch the stars come out, nearby to that there's a medium sized wheeling spot, complete with a kindof dank pond area (thats tricky to find)

Other than that, the only other thing I could suggest is if someone has a big/huge yard or land...

Labor Day Weekend BBQ and Jeep meet!!

The San Antonio area jeep peeps are trying to plan a low key BBQ on Saturday the 1st of sept (labor day weekend) this would obviously be family and pet friendly we would like to have it near water or a big park with pavilions ( free ) preferably . And some grills . I think I can get a big pull behind grill from MWR on base if need be . Throw out some ideas for a venue if you have any and we can put a list together . It will be Byob . The meat I should be able to cover but we will need extra stuff aswell like condiments and plates and that sort of thing . Let me know ideas you may have.
