MJGM The Rubi 6 speed all come w/ the 4.10's & the 5 speed automatic comes w/ the 3.73's w/ the 4.10's being an optional upgrade. If you're not sure check your window sticker or call any Jeep dealership parts department w/ your vin # to see what's installed on your JKUR. Loved driving my Rubi our in the deep snow the next day after the blizzard. Looks like we have more snow coming this weekend

reaksmeyk Thanks man I went with 4.10. I thought all the new Rubicons came in 4.10? How'd you make out in the snow storm?

MJGM Sweet Rubicon man. Did you go w/ the 3.73 or 4.10 gears? I picked up my JKU Rubicon the day before the blizzard & love it!

RubiconRich I'm in Shrewsbury, check out our website.

lolpetewtf I did not buy a new a4 because of the ridiculous option packages. Things that should be standard are not. Bluetooth cost a fortune. I said forget it.

I LOVE my A4, but given how expensive they are to upkeep, I think I'm looking to move mine with under 50K on the odometer. It's at 39K now, so I have a year or so to figure out what I want to do with that and my TJ (that I end up driving more anyway).

lolpetewtf Yooo...yes. There is an accessible firewall hole to the dash on the driver side. Go to Radio Shack or Home Depot and get a spool of wire so you can extend the harness that came with the radio. Run a ground to the footwell of the driver side, you will see 2 factory grounds there, near where your left ankle is. Don't be afraid to cut, solder, cut again. Easy stuff.

PS - Don't forget to loom any wire coming off the battery. It can get hot in there. If you get normal wire, get 1/4 or 3/8" loom in the electronics department at HD.

PM me with any questions. I sometimes forget to check the Massachusetts forum.

reaksmeyk lolpetewtf is there a reason why you ran the power cable on the driver side vs the passenger side when the batt is on the passenger side of the engine compartment? I ended up getting the same cb radio and in the process of installing it now. they only gave me a 3 ft cable that wont reach the batt

reaksmeyk Well I was a die hard Audi fan, and was set on getting a rs4 for awhile. I love the Rubicon though! It's probably as fast if not faster than my b5 a4. Although I do miss the cornering and handling of the audi :\

lolpetewtf Ya I think I have actually. I am not very impressed with the radio. It seems to have quite a few qirks, I listed them in a thread once but it is too early for me to remember. I need coffee lol...Should have got a Galaxy.

lolpetewtf Ya man. They only made them for a few months for 2012. I had to have Cosmos, and got pretty much exactly what I wanted minus the LSD, and it was only 3 miles from my house.

The CB did come with that mounting bracket but I drilled an offset hole so it works with the L brackets and is slightly angled to me. Works awesome. If anyone wants a parts list let me know. Everything is at Home Depot.

reaksmeyk Sweet you have a Cosmo blue! I was about to get one but all the dealerships were sold out... so I decided to get a black 13 Rubicon instead. It's a shame they did away with that color. Did the cobra come with that mounting bracket? Looks good

reaksmeyk Sweet. Where do u plan on installing your cb radio and which one did u get? Yea I don't plan on doing anything too serious either. Wanna baby my Rubicon a little. I'm from Boston ma. Where are u from?
09-15-2012 09:38 AM
lolpetewtf I am installing my CB today. No big tires or anything, if you guys do trails, nothing to serious I'm down. Where are you from Rich and reaksmeyk?
09-14-2012 03:30 PM
reaksmeyk When's the next meetup rich? I don't have a cb radio or a fire extinguisher yet... I definitely want some help learning the ropes tho.
09-14-2012 03:27 PM
reaksmeyk Yup! 2013 Rubicons come with those wheels and tires. I wanted to capture the freshness of the new jeep before I got it dirty. Haha

I had a b5 a4 also. I was contemplating getting a used rs4 or a Rubicon. Turns out the Rubicon has better gas mileage than a rs4.
09-14-2012 10:23 AM
RubiconRich now take it offroad with PatriotJeepers and see what it can do.
09-13-2012 01:57 PM
lolpetewtf Wicked nice. I had a B5 A4 then went to a BMW coupe. Let's just say that was a bad idea because of the roads/winters. A4/Wranglers all the way. Almost bought another but went for the Wrangler.
09-11-2012 02:31 PM
anomaly117 wow looking very nice, did it come with those tires? rubicon is the only jk model i would ever want

i love how quick you were to take this pic, the dealer is still putting the plates on! lol
