Mayhemjeep I have a 2008jk standard on 36 inch tires and I went with 4.88. Wanted a little more jam fr the overdrive gears. Love it

Mulmur Thanks.. got it.. 2000 rpm at a decent highway speed is good for fuel economy.. not too great for off the line pick up.

Decided to order the Sahara with 3.21 gears.. thought the Rubicon might be a little too noisy re: tires and harder on fuel with higher gears..

skrueger With 3.21 at 110klh I barely hit 2000rpm just about as good as my Kia forte.
Oh ya it's a auto

Does anyone know the engine RPM for:
Sahara automatic and 3.73 gears (I believe the 3.21 are only for standard)
Rubicon automatic and 3.73 gears (I assume the same)
Rubicon standard and 4.10 gears

Any real world experience with the driving characteristics (differences) between the Sahara and Rubicon.. I realize the Rubicon is much more off road capable, but I'm interested in the on road differences. Where I live the off road is certainly available so I was leaning toward the Rubicon.
Thks..

To clarify: Engine speed at say 110 kph ?
