bubbadiddit Thanks for the compliments guys. It's the OD Auto and YES!!! I had major vibes when it came off the lift so it went back on and the TC drop went in. It also has a MML. I've got my SYE, but won't put it in until the D44 is regeared and going in. I hate down time. I prefer to have everything ready to go at one time. Question for anyone in the know- I have the m35 now and am going to a bolt in TJ d44. Is the pinion yoke different? I am thinking it is, which is why I'm waiting on the SYE/CV Shaft until the rear end is done.

bubbadiddit Yeah, I know, it's been a while. Since I started this post, I've lifted and tired my Jeep. I've got my corners and d44, but neither have been installed as of yet. Here are a few pics....

bubbadiddit Ok guys, so it will be the 2005. After 3 days in it, I'm actually glad I didn't get the other one. I don't know if I could find another one this clean and mechanically tight without buying a new one. I will get pics up as soon as possible. Now I just have to do all my paperwork, change all the fluids, and then it's off to Superlift to see what my ol' cuz can hook me up with......

4point That sucks, that's why Calif does not have a "cooling off" period.

bubbadiddit Yeah, I've found a couple from private owners. I may call one this weekend. Since my buddy has the lot I was trading at, I was able to get my truck back so I still have a vehicle. It really did feel strange going from my King Ranch F250 to a Jeep. HUGE space and handling difference!!!! I had almost forgotten what it was like!!!

stevens243 Ouch. Oh well, maybe for the best...

As far as some other thoughts, think you could look for buying from an individual instead of a dealer? Some places, it's hard to find em for sale except at a dealer, but others seem to be teeming with them.

YOU have to decide on whether to go TJ or JK...If you like the JK's go for it. If not, keep looking. I don't know how long you can go without a vehicle and that has to account for something too...

There are also a couple posted on this site in the "for sale" thread too.

bubbadiddit Alright. When I said I "purchased" maybe I jumped the gun. What I should have said was I "was trying to purchase" that Jeep. This guy told my buddy (manager at a lot) that he was definitely trading, everything looked great, etc. All of a sudden on Friday morning the guy does a 180* and wants his Jeep back. I've had it since tuesday and already traded my truck in. This guy, for no reason, ended up being a major butthole. He was buying the other vehicle for his wife and something broke down on that end (not the vehicle) and the whole deal went south in less than 24 hours. Not to fear though, as I am test driving a 2005 X that is basically the same minus the lift and winch and it has 49,000 miles instead of 40,000. It actually seems to be in better mechanical shape than the other one. I just didn't realize the difference until driving this one. I can get this one for $13,000.00. I'll let you guys know. If I don't get this one, a local dealer has one '08 X left and has been advertising it for $15,990. I just really don't want to spend a dime with those guys..... Any thoughts or suggestions?

Finally got another Jeep!!!

After a long wait, I've finally purchased another Jeep. I bought and '04 X 4.0l auto with 40,00 miles, a hard top, and full doors. Some extras that came with it are a 4" Superlift (that's soon to be modified), front/rear/side tubes (which are soon to come off), Bushwacker pocket flares (undecided, but probably not staying) and an 8000lb Warn (which is staying). This Jeep shows no evidence of being offroad- only one brush type scratch, no mud or sandy residue in the skidplate, on top of the frame, or baked to the exhaust. I think I found a pretty good project for $12,000. What do you guys think? I'll try to get some pics up soon....
