Tim_ho I may be in the same boat as Stompor in looking for someone to show me the ropes with a Wrangler. I just purchased a used TJ last week. It is my first Jeep and I would like to learn to do the majority of the work myself. I am in Bellevue though which isn't particularly close to Olympia.

nwbronco Sweet. I am sure I have seen your rig around town. I will PM you my cell and we can get together soon.

NickDanger So Bob, I see that you're located in Olympia.

Clearly I'm going to need to meet you one day since I'm in Oly too, and I'm sure I could learn a few things.

I'd actually mostly just like to talk to someone who's in the know about which direction to go with my Jeep.

nwbronco Sounds like a plan. Post up when you are ready.

Stompor You might have just found yourself a new student.

I struck out today trying to buy a jeep at Bruce Titus, I guess I will have to order one and wait a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the input, and I will check in with you all when I have a new jeep.

nwbronco Jason is right. I am here to help folks who want to learn about the mechanical aspects of their rig. How a lift works and understanding it is important to some folks. Myself included. Dave's shop is fantastic, and his people are knowledgeable. His place is great to drop it off and pick it up. A very turnkey solution and favorable to a lot of people. Here, you turn a wrench as much as I do. You learn the ins and outs of the work being done. Heck, if you are here to see/work on someone else's rig, you will learn what not to do to your rig as much as you learn what to do to it.

And as a side note, you end up buying pizza and feeding everyone that shows up to turn a wrench.

Dave is as much a vendor as a shop. I buy about all of my parts from him. Heck, buy your parts from him, and then if you want, bring 'em done here for the install.

Jason usually comes down when there is another project in the driveway. It is his way of seeing what mods he really wants to do v. the ones he does not.

Mr. Fish Longer version: If you're looking to mod your Jeep, you're probably looking to go off road. If you're going to go off road, you may break something. If you break something, you're going to want to know what it is and how it works. No better way to learn your Jeep than to bang on things with a wrench, turn things with a hammer. Or however that goes.

Besides, I know Bob gets a huge kick out of me inviting people to his house.

Stompor Thanks for the replies. I am really getting excited to have a jeep again.

nwbronco Who Dat? Of course he could bring it down here. He'd need to get his parts first. Installing them would be cake.

Who do I take my new Jeep to for mods in WA

Hey everyone, I am going to buy a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited this week.
Do you have any recommendations on where to take it to be modded in the Tacoma - Olympia area.
