jgano23 if you are mechanically inclined then do it yourself. the more you work on your own Jeep the more familiar you are with it, so when something goes wrong on the trail you can figure it out yourself. plus you save tons in labor.

ryanralston07 I've looked at installs done by other magazines and they said that the transfer case shifter bracket is needed? I don't know...thinking about just doing this in my driveway now lol

Jerry Bransford You likely don't need the Skyjacker transfer case shifter bracket since you're not dropping the t-case or installing a motor mount lift. Cross that and the labor to install it off the list, but ask how much the labor for that is first so you will not be told it's just bundled in. The only way you might need it is if the Skyjacker high clearance t-case skid plate raises the transfer case enough to severely misalign the two mounting points (body and t-case) for the transfer case shifter.

4Jeepn Okay is this a line-x store that does 4x4 stuff on the side or a 4x4 install shop that also does line-x? I think I paid about 1000 about 5 years ago to have a RE kit put on. so 1200 does not seem that far out of line. As for shops in GA, Southern 4wd in atlanta. or IN TN, oak ridge, jim's offroad is the only one I know.

Is this a good install quote?

Went to the local line-x store today for an install quote for the following parts on my 2002 tj:
-Skyjacker 4" Rock Ready Long Arm Kit
-Skyjacker High Clearance Skid Plate (no mml or bl required when running their LA kit)
-SYE and CV D/S
-Skyjacker Transfer Case Shifter Bracket

They quoted me $1200? Is that good or bad or what? I think that might be kind of high seeing as how some people on here said they had their LA kits installed for $500? Anyone know any shops in northwest GA or southeast TN to do the install?
