Trimming the back

Cutting the rear, I think they call it a comp cut. Still have to cut the bumper.

Scooby88 Got one side done, not sure how I'm going to finish the rear. I also got the gas tank pulled out last night, I thought it would be a pain being it had about a half tank of gas but it was pretty easy.

The plan is to get things around to slide the 14 under the rear, being it's welded makes it a little difficult.

I'm tired of updating on my phone, do I buy a new laptop or the sye?

Projectgrizz93 Ha that's why I built a paint booth around mine it doesn't fit in the garage anymore

I've always wanted a Miller and I've got a lot of welding ahead. Not only on the YJ.

New Welder

Well I bought one today. Hard bullet to swallow but I'm at the point I really need it and I'm tired of borrowing one.

Was planning on gathering more parts this weekend but plans changed and we are heading north to see my mother for the weekend.

freonburn Sounds like a great idea. I can't wait to see how those axles look under your YJ

Dash

Thanks grizz, helps a lot.

I'm thinking I'm gonna make the new dash mold, my idea is to give the first one away just to get reviews. What do you guys think?

That would be great! I'd like to see spring placement, ride height. Thanks

My suggestion for a mod would be to include a spot under the gauges to install a CB or maybe a toggle switch bank to hook up all electronics used in the vehicle

Do you have a build thread or any pictures of the f150 springs installed? I have ideas but if how you did it works I'd love to see.

Scooby88 The 14 bolt is all cleaned up. Had the wife convinced I needed a plasma cutter, as I thought about it....most of the cutting is done.
I'm at the welding point and I've been borrowing the Miller from work which is sweet but....I changed my mind and I'm looking at the Miller 211 mig welder to buy.
Anyone have this welder? Oh, I get a miller, she gets a new couch I get to use both.

14 Bolt cleaned up

Sandblasted the 14, still have to cut off the stock leaf spring perches. Went to the u-pick n pull and got 2 leaf springs off an '97 F150. $77.50, I was lucky that the box was off.

Good day

Sorry for the past posts. Trying to help out a Jeeper.

Sold the Dana 30/35 axles tonight, that should cover the cost of the F150 springs for the build. Have a guy coming tomorrow night to buy the rims and tires that were on it.

Looking for some rollers for the 14 bolt, this thing is a Beast.

Scooby88 Got some of the stock leaf spring mounts cut off tonight. Found some F150 springs at a local u-pick for $33 each.

One problem, I have to get it out of the garage.
Chainsaw....in case it doesnt fit out the door.
