Janet H We have a new forum! Thanks for all the suggestions and input

jpdocdave ya i agree on just one for all categories. even if something you see wouldn't ever go into your jeep, it could give you inspiration to make an idea work, or just to see what other people are coming up with can help with what you're trying to do. just my input.

64panhead i was thinking of one that involves all forms of jeep mainly becaus a lot of the time people are swaping parts from older 4x4s to the newer ones and sometimes from the new to the old. like i am swaping in an older t case from a cj into my tj and i might need advice from the cj crowd but if there is subs for all the different generations they might not venture in to the other ones and in turn not see the post i put up and i might not be getting all that could be possible as if they were all in one. let me know if that makes sence

KellyK not sure how its going to be set up but a sub forum in each type of jeep would be best so you dont get post about someone making up a dash for a cj7 along with someone that did a dash mod to a xj.

Just throwin that out there

64panhead thats great. keep us posted on what the plans are. im getting a membership soon

1BLKJP Yes the general idea we've been tossing around is for a general fab shop type sub forum. For anything custom done to your rigs. Motor swaps, full suspensions, cages, bumpers, belly skids etc.... Since you all posted it we brought up the conversation again amongst the mods and the general theory is that the board is probably ready for such a section now.

Damn YOU! get out of my head ! Was thinking the same thing.

But should it be limited to just one off type fab or ANY FAB or Modification.

If it is left open to any modifications it may be a bit more used?

I'm not talking about a budget boost or "hey dood I got new wheels".

But actual modifications like full lifts or building your own bumpers.

10-30-2008 05:12 PM
jpdocdave i think we need more than 4 people showing interest.
10-30-2008 04:57 PM
64panhead who do we have to talk to to try and get something like this
10-26-2008 11:46 AM
64panhead that sounds good too
10-26-2008 11:38 AM
jpdocdave or advanced modification, non bolt on, i'm just throwin out key words. serious mods. professional only.
10-26-2008 11:12 AM
64panhead maybe call it, SWAPPING AND FABRICATION
anything driveline, frame, axles, cages, heavy body mods, if it needs a torch and welder it goes here
10-26-2008 10:34 AM
jpdocdave i like it, actual labor involved changes other than bolt on. building and or installing stuff that doesn't really go where you're putting it. what should it be called?
10-26-2008 09:24 AM
jeepocalypse bring on the fab! everyone does everything differently seeing other peoples methods always help me.
10-26-2008 08:34 AM
distortedtj A fabrication thread sounds like a winner to me.
10-26-2008 08:30 AM
how about a new area

hey guys how about an area for people fabricating and swaping parts changing motors building cages and other more involved prodjects. leave it open to cj, yj, tj, jk, or homebuilt prodjects. things other than how do i fix my door locks or what is a good soft top cleaner. i dont like having to go threw pages of threads only to find a couple threads that have the word fabricate in it.
